A massive choice of beers from all over the world. A slightly upmarket feel about the venue.

These places tend to be really massive although under stocked with bathrooms. They have a ton of taps with a lot f regional stuff available. They typically serve their whole menu until late which is awesome. I was fortunate to find street parking but theres also a parking garage nearby. The only thing that ruined night a bit were the loud assholes at the bar bragging about what giant douches the are., but surely they’ve gone by now.

This is where my craft beer experience really kicked off rating is actually for 2009. I drank coors light or miller light before I had weihenstephaner hefeweiss on draft. I have been here many times, probably well over a dozen. Service was good every time except once when they were busy in the basement bar area. Great decor, parking is likely to be a challenge. Great selection of beer especially draft. The lamb burger is awesome, but be sure you bring an appetite.

Good food at a fair price. Big discounts on all drafts every Saturday until 9pm.can get a bit noisy, but otherwise a very good brewpub atmosphere.

Large place with a ton of beers, some if which are not found anywhere else. Selection of special stuff is heavy on locals and regionals. Live music was playing when I was there. The cooling strip running the length of the bar is an interesting gimmick I only tried the fries, but they didn’t taste like potatos. Hmmmm...

I love this place. It’s a beer drinkers destination. If you enjoy talking the finer points of beer, the staff is mostly very knowledgeable.

Visited November 2011. One-off visits obviously only offer a snapshot of a place, but I was reasonably impressed during mine. The beer selection was wide and the cask ale on offer was served in good condition. The waitress was friendly and served up a burger and fries of decent quality. Prices weren’t bad with as I took advantage of the midweek deal on Virginian beers. Worth a visit.

Simply put there is no greater selection of beer in the city. Additionally they have an on/off license, so you can get any of those lovely bottles to go. Or...if you have a growler (or want to purchase one) you can get taps to go as well. They’re great about letting you try it first (on tap), and the bar staff are all trained to know the difference between an ale and lager and know what is rare. (Speaking of rare - ask about the back stock to see if they have anything hanging out in the ’way back’ of the fridge that you can buy.) Overall the food is a fair stretch better than bar food - but typically not gourmet (except for the mussels).

Has a big bar feel. Lacks the personal craft beer touch of uniqueness.as a presentation of the beers.
