Solid wine place. It’s a part of "old" downtown Bellevue, which was first built in the 60s. It’s been almost completely rebuilt in this downtown core, all in the last 10-12 years. Seeing sturdy, cheap, tilt-up architecture around here almost makes you feel like you’re stepping back in time a little bit. What they do get, though, is tons of space and high ceilings--they don’t shilly shally around with a lot of expensive oak shelves and pass the price on to you. Once you get inside, though, it’s completely clear that this place is run by people who love the wine (and the beer) and love getting work here for a living. Almost everything on the shelves has a hand-lettered shelftalker, for a start. Prices are borderline phenomenal for this town. Selection is solid--by now, most of us won’t be finding rare new delights that open our eyes in a place like this. But there’s plenty of good stuff, and quite a bit of it is in reefers. The staff obviously digs dialing in new customers’ (and wine newbies’) tastes with suggestions--they led at least two people by the hand through the store in the 10 minutes I was there. I would totally shop for wine here, I am sure the prices there are just as good as the beer prices. Not essential for the farther-flung beer lover or local, but if business has you in Bellevue, this is a great place to take a peek at the local bottle selection without having to rent a car.

As noted already, mostly a wine store but has some interesting beer selections. I’d echo the good prices theme. I picked up the Gouden Carolus Noel for $8.99 and saw it for $10.99 just up the street and for higher than that other places. For good deals, this might be the place to go, but you’re not going to be sure they have what you want.

This is a wine store that also sells beer. Looked like they have "sale’ prices on about a quarter of their stock when I was there. Kinda tucked away, and apparently not a major hangout for beer geeks - I was able to find a stout that had been retired for almost a year.

Nice selection of beer at this store which is mainly wine....amazing prices as well; some of the best I’ve seen in the Seattle area.
