This place does not brew anymore, as of January 10. They intend to revive that effort eventually but as of now it’s on indefinite hold. Should probably be reclassified. Big old warehouse space converted to a restaurant with a motorsports garage feel. TONS of racing, rally, and drag memorabilia. That part very much spoke to my heart; I grew up on racetracks during the summer. They clearly have the love for all things motorsport and they are not afraid to show it off. Their specialty is BBQ, but it’s pretty debatable. The sauces tasted like Mr Stubb’s with some cayenne thrown in, at least to me. The "smoked" potato tasted like it was just baked in the oven. The pulled pork tasted like it had no seasonings added at all, and like it had been cooked in an oven (not a smoker), and left under a heat lamp for a while--dry and room temperature. The beans were great, the cornbread was solid. The onion rings were from a bag. The dry-rubbed ribs tasted like they were maybe dry-rubbed with salt and pepper and maybe liquid smoke, if that. I was seriously tempted to ask the waitress to take us out and show us the smoker/smokepit. Didn’t seem like they had one. The cook was in the kitchen, audibly--clear across the dining room--whining about having to follow a checklist to clean. If they wrote you a checklist, it’s because you haven’t been doing your sidework. That made me as nervous as anything. Most of this could have been forgiven, but onion rings, two entrees, and two beers were $47. OOoooff. All that said, they did have a dozen well-chosen beers on tap.

Some of the best smoked ribs I have ever had. They are served weekly and are delicious. The food selection is a little sparse, but what they do they do well. Talking with the owner and employees is great, they are personable and helpful. The beer is very nice, and it seems like a new one is always ready to be tried. Their sampler is 6, small glasses of their 6 most popular beers. Oh, and the place is child friendly, there is a very small (4-6 seats) area where kids are not allowed, but the rest of the bar/restaurant is open and not packed. I miss this place now that I am in IL.

Speedway has the best bbq in the far south sound (blows away the more celebrated ranch house). The beers are also generally quite good, however recently they have only had a few of their own on tap (they generally have their IPA on, which is pretty good). The other taps have been decent craft beers (Deschutes, Pyramid) that complement what they have on of their own. Its too bad, b/c the beers had been getting progressively better since they opened & I miss the scottish and the stout, both of which were smooth & really good. Definitely come for the bbq, the beer won’t disappoint but it probably won’t excite either.

We went here for food and beer. What can I say, the BBQ is fantastic. I tried every beer on tap and found at least half above average. But the food is what is the focus. Everything we ate - BBQ ribs, brisket, spiced rubbed chicken, beens, and slaw, was homemade and it shows! I wish only they had beer that complimented the food.

Great concept; really hope this takes off. Most of us homebrewers are tinkerers of some kind, so coming across a brewpub with racing memorabilia and BBQ when you’ve built your own BBQ, brew setup and most of your car at home really impresses. liked the beers, staff was very approachable, and Nachos were freakin excellent. I normally hate nachos that are too complicated, and these were piled high with fixins I have nothing to complain about. Will be back when I have time for a full meal.

A nice place found in Lacey Washington. A big warehouse style brew pub with the food and the beer ready for the customers. The food was very good the BBQ is slow roasted and pretty darn good give the coleslaw with peppers a try it is very tasty. The service was nice and lots of it. The beers need time and the brewer needs to slow down and really work on his beers when he can. There are some great beers to be had they just need to be tweaked and worked on and needs to really work on flavor over quantity. The Black IPA is unique and when better will be a fun to drink and talk about beer. I wish them all the luck we need all the Brewpubs we can get in this town.
