76 On the southern side of Todmorden proper on the other side of the railway arches to the Bare Arts brewery. This pub has a ’Copper Dragon Inns’ sign on its exterior although there’s never been one of their ales here on any visit. That matters little as their real ale choice is very good with plenty of choice from both Yorkshire and Lancashire breweries given its on the cusp of both counties. All five cask pumps regularly rotate here and there’s a couple of interesting lager options too. The decor and furnishing is a mix of simple and traditional with seating both sides of the central doorway and open fires on both side walls.. There is a juke box here too with someones impressive gig ticket stubs in a frame above it. There’s not a huge amount of houses around here but it still attracts plenty of people at all times. |
