“Visited here last year before coming to watch Coventry City play Accrington Stanley. Of course, the Sky Blues lost as per usual but the beers were so good here I was able to forget how dreadful we were quite quickly.“

“About five minutes walk south-west of the small main commercial centre, but handily placed facing the main road south out of town - so it’s hard to miss this place. It’s in an older building that very much looks the part in the stone brick style that exists for most places in this area. Inside it’s a fairly modern pub with a bar type look to it. The serving area on the right is an ’L’ shaped bar with the eight hand pumps running down one side of it. Seven of these are from the house brewery Big Clock, that is situated in the room behind the bar and you can try all seven available as 1/3 pint tasters for just over £5. There’s a guest ale here on the eighth pump but that’s not included in the taster deal. The main seating area is to the left of the central doorway and also has a more modern pub type layout to it. There’s a funky function room above too.“

“A cluttered Wetherspoon in terms of its layout, but there is a lack of space which makes this a busy link in the pub chain, especially during the times children are allowed in. There’s a small area to the right of the bar which is a mostly covered patio area and quite attractive. The usual menu and two rows of ales apply that are fully stocked with plenty of rotating ales.“
