“Nice Gaestehaus and Garden with a very local vibe. Of the three beers, the Dunkel was amazing, the Hell good and the Weizen pretty shaky. Food was excellent. Well worth the trip.“

“As mullet said, the vibe in this village is simply lovely. Quiet on the street, yet busy with conversation. A tiny church is right in front of the brewery, and cats are roaming about. The building of this brewery seems to be the owner’s house; the taproom almost looks like a living room. Moreover, their beers, Helles and Dunkel, are both world-class examples of their respective styles. One of my best Franconian brewery experiences, so I’ll undoubtedly be back next time I’m in the region. Thanks for bringing me here, Stephan!“

“Simple, very simple rural brewery-tap in the middle of nowhere; a patio on the brewery-yard is euphemistically called beer-garden.... ; but the beers are quite good, so this place is worth a little detour and a visit there can be easily combined with a trip to Leups, Büchenbach and Lindenhardt!“

“Really liked this place. Beers were excellent, and a lovely village vibe with an unusually diverse age range amongst punters. Would love to return for a session of an evening, if it weren’t in the middle of nowhere (though it is walkable from Pottenstein).

“Traditional franconian brewpub in the heart of the Fränkische Schweiz; a cozy tap-room and a nice patio with wooden furniture are waiting for thirsty bikers and hikers (and beer-hunters, too!). Could be easily combined with a visit to Waischenfeld, Breitenlesau and Aufseß. Worth a visit.“
