“On my stay in early March '24 there were four of their own beers on offer among the 12 taps. Dark interiors in brick and wood, quite cozy atmosphere. Street food options. Friendly service offering tasters of their own beers. The place is located just off the mushroom street and almost next to the Bubbles Beer bar. Interesting American folk rock by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros during my stay. Opens early in the evening. (Visited with Frau Eva, 05.03.2024).“

“Comfortable, airy and colourful beer bar on a corner just off the mushroom street in central Alicante. 10 taps, all of them from Spanish craft breweries, supported by quite a few canned beers, mostly Spanish. The draught beers are served in different sizes starting at 280ml. Friendly, informative service. Ska and reggae music, including "Ghost Town" by the Specials, during my stay. Very close to Altabirra, but this one opens earlier. (Visited with Frau Eva, 05.03.2024).“

“Local en el centro de Alicante, cómodo y sencillo, especializado en cerveza artesanal española. Cuenta con diez grifos de cerveza y una buena y variada selección de cervezas, todas ellas elaboradas por microcervecerías españolas. Personal muy agradable, posibilidad de picoteo ligero. Buenos precios. Un buen sitio para tener una reunión agradable con amigos y degustar muy buena cerveza.“

“Nice bar, connected to a hostel, in the centre of Alicante. Ambiance is very nice, full of young people. Kind service, although I had the impression that servers don't really know much about beers. One of the two beers I had was a (Spanish) maibock, and it tasted slightly acetic. The server didn't really know how a maibock is supposed to taste, and declared that the current one was the first ever he tried :( Who knows... Maybe a defective keg? Or a dirty line?“

“Quite beer bar in a calle in Alicante. I visited with friends near the closing time, but service was still kind and attentive. The inside is very simple, and not really looking like a bar. Good selection, with 10 beers on tap, none obvious. No commercial beers. Good prices! Overall, a nice choice in the centre of Alicante.“

“In Alicante this is probably the best place for diehard Ratebeerians. 14 taps (menu outside) with plenty of interesting Spanish microbrews, including small Alicante breweries, and a very good selection of Spanish and foreign craft beers in the fridges. Bottles may also be taken out of house. Very friendly and helpful staff, and you can also enjoy your beers at tables outside on the pavement. Wifi and great music taste. Very centrally located, so you can’t miss it. I’ll be back!“

“Five bottles from Villa De Madrid and a few traditional macros, and that’s all when it comes to beers. Nice outdoor seating in the pedestrian, mushroom street downtown. Polite service with recommendations. Light food options. Not a must visit place for craft beer drinkers, but a decent place if some of your friends like to drink and test vines. (Visited with Ingeborg and Frau Eva, 09.06.2016).“

“The tap menu can be read on a sign outside of the pub. 14 taps; three Germans, six Belgians and five Spanish craft beers. The menu is also listed on a window behind the bar counter. In addition to the draught beers, there are in fact a bottle shop close to the entrance with a solid range of Spanish beers from the nearby regions to take away or to drink at the pub. A medium sized, two-roomed pub, dark lit and in dark wooden decor. A few tables and chairs on the pavement outside. Friendly and informative service offering free tasters. Right kind of music; American and British indie rock, on one occasion we enjoyed Jimi Hendrix Experience and All along the Watchtower, the best Dylan cover ever made. On another visit, I was more than happy drinking to the sound of Iron Maiden. Just great. The pub is located about five minutes down the boulevard from the Luceros Tram station towards the marina. Opens at noon (visited several times in early June 2016).“

“Craft beers are definitely included in the gourmet experience. There were 12 shelves with bottles in addition to a few exhibition tables, one with BrewDog Beers and one with Spanish craft beer (cerveza artesana). Decent range of bottled beers from the U.S.A., Belgium, UK, Germany and Spain. Good value, i would say, about £2.50 for each bottle of a Spanish craft beer. Drink-in options. A noisy and not especially attractive place. It is located at the ground floor of El Corte Ingles, a few minutes down the boulevard from the Luceros Tram station (visited with Frau Eva 30.05 and 06.06.2016).“

“It’s the best place for drinking beers in Alicante. They have 13 taps and some of them are changed periodically. They have very good local craft beers on tap and they also make recommendations and explanations to the customers. The ambience is also very good, and people of different ages and styles are joined there“

“I was thankful that this place existed when I spent a week in Alicante! While most other bars and restaurants only serve lager beers, Malatesta offers a good variety of mostly Belgian beers. I was happy to find Tripel Karmeliet on tap, one of my favorites. I addition, they had Mikkeller’s Black Grand Marnier Barrel Ed. when I was there. Besides the Belgian beers they had a German lager (Veltins) and German wheat beer, Young’s double chocolate stout and a Spanish beer on tap and a wide selection of bottled beer from Belgia and Spain in the fridge. The bar is furnished classically, with a dark brown interior and beer bottles and other breweriana on walls and ceiling. Classic rock and pop from the radio, (salty) pop corn and peanuts or free to the beer. “

“Basically a vine shop in the heart of alicante. They have a small bar for tapas and vine / beer tasting. They have a good selection of spanish artesanal cerveza. I tried the stuff from sacriatan. Amber ale. Pretty good. Not a real beer bar but in lack of other craftbeer venues this is pretty good.“

“Decent bar specializing in belgian beers. Not the exiting kind of belgian brews, but still a great alternative to the regular Alicante lager bars. They stocked a few local bottled crafts of variuos quality as well.“

“Pub has an old rustic feel with typical beer paraphernalia covering the walls and ceiling. Classic tunes on the radio gives the place a nice touch. Their selection isn’t full of rare treasures but they have an adequate selection of brews that is served in proper glassware. Where good beer is hard to find (in Spain), this place is a gem on the Mediterranean. It helps being 2 blocks away from the in-laws. They don’t have a web page but you can look them up under the city chamber of commerece: http://www.comercioalicante.com/default.asp?sec=&categoria=&iae=&nombre=228&pagina=1&buscar=1“
