“Visited a Saturday around noon in June 2017. As previous reviews already has stated this place has a huge selection of beers compared to an ordinary supermarket. Selection was at my visit the same as described in the previous review. However, I don’t agree with recommending the beer tourist to go here for a 40 mins. train ride as Allerød has nothing else to offer than being a Suburbia to Copenhagen. At times you can find really good bargains here for beers that are close to expire. Highly recommended when in Northern Zeeland region.“

“This place keeps expanding their selection. At a recent visit in early April 2017 I was impressed to see that their bottle shop is now likely to be the largest in Denmark surpassing places such as Kihoskh basement by a factor of 2 or 3, Toft Vin by a factor of 3 to 4 and Ølbutikken and Mikkeller&Friends bottleshop by a factor of 10 - 15.

The place has now become a must visit on my list for anybody travelling to Copenhagen even if it takes a 30 minute ride on commuter trains to get there from the city centre. Skip the time you planned to use on visiting Kihoskh and go to Kvickly Allerød instead. The prices are reasonable and the selection is simply put insane and most likely the best in all of Denmark.

Some of the many brands availabe here include: Westvleteren, De Molen, Bell’s, Cantillon, Brewdog, Three Floyds, Stone, Amager, Mikkeller, To Øl, Ugly Duck, Rocket, Midtfyn, BeerHere, Det Lille Bryggeri, Brewski, Beerbliotek, Ghost, Brewfist and too many others to mention here.

OLD REVIEW FROM April 13 2016: This place is insanely great. Best selection in all of Nordsjælland as far as I know. My visits to the supermarket are generally prolonged by at least 30 minutes simply from the need to check their craft beer selection. I found several small gems that I haven’t been able to find in the leading Copenhagen bottleshops such as Kihoskh. And the prices are quite reasonable. When I was there the guy in charge of procurement came around and gave me some tips about limited edition stuff that he had stored in a remote corner that I wasn’t aware of. I would argue that this place is worth a detour for any foreign ratebeerian visiting Copenhagen. Can be reached through a 30 minute journey by train from Copenhagen. Has many similarities with the Casa Evaristo in Terrassa, Catalunya.“

“Supermarket with a great selection of beers. Mostly Danish, but also US, Belgian. They have both the standard supermarket stuff and things you don’t see in any other supermarket in the country. I would be happy to visit again if in the vicinity, but it doesn’t beat going to some of the great bottle shops in Copenhagen.“

“Fantastic supermarket with top 5 selection in Denmark. I counted more than 500 beers and most of them of top class. Many lambics. Westy 12, loads of belgian and Danish microes. New beers such as Beerbliotek, Rockett, Ghost. Also some Americans 5 DogFish and more. Some very local Breweries also (Vassingerød, Birkerød). Many delicatesses such as Danish wine and cheese. I had a Salad to go which was supergood and fresh. A place to travel for.“

“Delicatesseshop with very limires selection. 2 beers and 2 ciders. BUT beers and ciders from Cottage Delight Staffordshire I have never seen anywhere else in Denmark. I was told 4 beers more from Cottage Delight will be back soon. Frindly service.“

“I have to give the place a top rating on selection because there are beers you just cannot get anywhere else. The selection tells me the person responsible for buying (at what is normally a run-of-the-mill chain supermarket) really knows their beer. Stronzo coffee badger, honey badger, most of the Ugly Duck products, and many of the better Danish Microbrews. Also top Belgian beers (such as Mikkeller single hop series) and more.“

“Unusual for a supermarket. There is a ongoing change of microbrews and new micrebreweries are regularly taken in. Mainly Danish microbrews but you can find Belgian, German and brews from other countries. You will be surprised to know that there is even staff whio knows about beer.“

“As this is close to the only beer store with a decent selection near my residence I tend to come here a lot and there is always new beers to get. Lots of Danish micros - mostly from Sjælland, Belgian, US, British and so on. Stronzo, Mikkeller, Svaneke, Beer Here and lots more. If you call for the man in charge of the beers he is very useful and will show you the backroom where more beers is stored. No vintage though. Great shop with fair prices.“

“Wow! What a surprise this was! Went there because the misses wanted some discount stuff and I fled to the beer section a soon as we entered the door. Their beer section is quite big with lots of great stuff not seen in other stores or supermarkets around. They got a nice selection of Mikkeller inc. B.A. stuff, Hornbeer, Midtfyns, Svaneke etc. Will definitely drop by next time im in Allerød!“

“This superbest supermarket in the outskirts of allerød (close to the highway, but far from the s-train station) actually has a decent micro and foreign selection, A few foreign beers here are not sold by the other supermarket chains,. However the brews there are , are quite mainstream typically with 200-300 ratebeer ratings. Last time i visited they had numerous (15 to 20 or so) english beers i’ve not seen in the competing supermarkets. It is a good supplement to visiting kvickly, both have lots the other one doesn’t have. It seems like the superbest in birkerød i used to visit has a lot less than this one, so the individual supermarkets in the superbest chain probably carry differnt beer selections, or different subsets of a larger beer selection. visited again and the selection was a bit thinner than last time. running out of several english beers. of the approx. 70 different kind of beers, only 45 are macro. large selection (7-10) of badgers“

“having lived in allerød for 2-3 years i still missed this store, never knew they had a quite fine, albeit small selection of micro and foreign beers for sale. right now they have two shelves of beer. the top shelf is dedicated to mikkeller (about 10 different kinds), the lower shelf has 4 belgians i hadn’t seen before, two kinds of bøgedal, and some others i also did not recognize from other stores nearby. Apart from beer, the shop has gourmet coffe, gourmet chocolate, gourmet honey and gourmet candy, the stuff which has quality a notch above what you might find in a large supermarket. I’ll elaborate when i get a chance to check them out once more. This time i snatched up the two bøgedal bottles, those were what i was after anyway.“

“Big supermarket with quite some macro and international beers. They’ve got the usual stuff, but also tend to fill up with relatively rare stuff and seasonals. Often good discounts. brøckhouse(not much left), gourmetbryggeriet/ølfabrikken, fur, skagen, haandbryggeriet, nils oskar, nøgne ø,flying dog, belgians and of course a decent selection of macro breweries. sam.adams, jacobsen, sempder ardens. Almost every week something new for sale.“

“These guys have a lot of mead. Ususally the young guys are at the desk, they don’t seem to be beer-trained. Anyways, in here i usually find the latest mikkeller brews, and a few other hard-to-get-at micro brews. From time to time they choke on some seasonal beer and sell it out at a good discount to get rid of it.I visit frequently to check if mikkeller is up to something new.“

“This store is mostly about wine, secondarily chocolate (if i judge by shelf space) - however, the beer they have is interesting danish microbrew. I have found stuff here that i had not seen anywhere else in town, or in the nearby towns. I hanven’t stumbled into very knowledgeable staff (reg. beer) but they are very helpful, and know enough to guide the occasional wine customer who needs some beer too.“

“Nice store with a good selection of beers from Europe. Large selection of cigars and other tobaccos. Lots of wine, liquor, liqueur and some mead. The staff is young and ok with their help but it sure could be improved.“

“Nice store packed with wines, beers, liquors, liqueurs, cigars and some chocolates. Friendly and helpful staff. The store has some rare Danish micro beers not available other places on Sjælland. A few times a year the store has a smal but good wine festival outside with some beers too.“
