“The Althaia Brewery has moved from central Altea to a new, larger, and modern location, in fact, closer to Albir than Altea. A comfortable taproom upstairs overlooking the brewery plant on the ground floor. Their own beers on eight tap supported by cans and bottles in the fridge. Friendly and informative service. Can be a bit tricky to find along the main road from Altea to Albir. (Visited with Frau Eva, 24.02.2024).“

“Appealing smell of malt in the residential area of Plaza dels Furs where the brewery is located. In front of the brewery plant, there is a small visitor center and shop with shelves filled with their own beers on bottles and cans. Two taps with Althaia IPA and Blonde at our stay. Spanish hospitality at its best with a girl guiding me around brewery, telling about their beers, distribution, and about the collaboration with Gulating and Haandbryggeriet in Norway. I found 11 beers that I did not had before. The place is located not far from the city center of Altea, and just a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop of no 10, being the last stop before turning back to Albir and Benidorm. Short distance from here to the craft beer café Lolita Canalla. (Visited with Frau Eva 29.03.2019).“

“A street corner, craft beer cafe close to the central shopping streets of Altea and not far from the seaside. Small bar inside with sunny outdoor seating, including tables and chairs in the nearby pedestrian street. Well selected menu of bottles and cans in two fridges added by a few more on the shelves behind the bar counter. Quite a few Belgian trappist beers and craft beers from Spanish breweries like Freaks Brewing, Naparbier, Althaia, Basqueland Brewing, among others. German beers on the two taps and some English ones on the shelves. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Proper coffee machine and some light food options. The cafe is located not so far from the Althaia brewery where they told me about this craft beer destination. Not many beer places like this in the area. Bus no. 10 stops nearby. “Rather surprising location in the outskirts of the city. Small and compact brewery on the ground floor of a residential building. Warm and welcoming staff that gave us the full tour of the brewery. It's possible to enjoy beer on the site too and they have a couple of taps, but as I was driving I only bought bottles to go. Full selection of their own beer and some basic merchandise. Certainly worth a visit!“
