“Not a brewery, just a tiny little taproom/outlet for the brewery which is elsewhere in town. When I say tiny, I mean tiny. Seating for maybe 12 people total. About 6 of their offerings available on tap, plus some swag and a coveted toilet! Friendly, decent beers. Right around the corner from Antigua Brewing Co.“

“First thing we did in Guatemala was seek this place out. Very close to the center of the fairly small Antigua scene, if you're a beer nerd like me, you gotta go too! The beers were solid. The food was typical for Guatemala, as we learned over the next few days. Cool speakeasy story behind the phone booth, too (look it up!). Beauno! Brewery #1017.“

ChocoMuseo (Restaurant)

“We were at the ChocoMuseo to learn about chocolate and then I discovered they had a restaurant and a good selection of Guatemalan craft beer. Worth checking out. Do the chocolate workshop then try the beer. A couple on tap, too.“

“This place has a lot going for it. We were in Antigua during Holy Week and booked a hotel right across the street from this place, so we stopped by 5 or 6 times. The atmosphere is fantastic. Great design on the inside and the upstairs terrace has beautiful views. One of the better places to drink a beer I can imagine. They had four of their own beers and about 10 other Guatemalan craft beers (and a couple from Costa Rica). I didn't love all their beers, but a few (especially the Fuego IPA) were quite nice. They also have some Brooklyn and Rogue beers. They do have some taps, but they also pour from bottles. Great service. We didn't try the food as it's more American pub food and we were more interested in having Guatemalan food in Guatemala. The beer is very expensive (by Guatemalan standards), but cheaper (or about the same) as Canada. Overall a great place for craft beer in Antigua.“

“Dimly lit place in an inner room. They had no taps available, only beers which they poured out of bottles, real shame for a place that advertise itself as a brewpub. Beers were acceptable, but nothing too exciting. The prices are quite steep especially considering you are in Guatemala. Hope they get their act together. As it is, it’s difficult to recommend this place.“

La bodegona (Grocery Store)

“A big warehouse like supermarket of no particular interest exept for two fridges by the southern entrance, one full of Cadejo from El salvador, the second with American craft - Abita, Brooklyn and Rogue, though nothing too special. As said, prices are really good.“

“Best beer spot you’re going to find in Antigua! Their house brews are pretty good - I had their Hefeweizen, Aussie IPA, and Imperial Stout. Their Aussie IPA was my favorite of the 3. The food was also good - my wife and I each got a chicken quesadilla. By far, the best thing about this place is the rooftop patio! Amazing view. Service was also friendly & attentive. However, their beers are EXPENSIVE. In Antigua, the average beer at a bar goes for Q20 ($2.50 or so), but their house-brewed beers cost Q50-Q70 ($6.70-$9.50). I get that craft beer should be sold for a premium, but holy cow, that’s a huge difference! Other bars sell American & Belgian craft beers in bottles for Q30-Q40. So, if you want to try a true local craft beer in Antigua, you have to go here, but if you just have a hankering for something better than Gallo, you can easily find Rogue, Abita, Leffe, Hoegarden, etc. at another bar for half the price.“

“It’s a grocery store, so don’t expect much, BUT except all the popular lagers from Guatemala, there are two fridges. One is full with bottles from El Salvador Cadejo Brewing Company craft beers - worth to try. Second one is full with American craft beer, mostly Rogue but not only. The prices for this bottles are really good.“

“Poor selection of local bottles, biggest selection of imports I saw in Guatemala. Biggest meaning few most popular belgian ales like Leffe, and also some german pils and weizens, Erdinger for instance. Food is marvelous.“
