“Very nice family run sagardotea with the usual cod & steak meal and free cider. We had booked a tour online, but appeanatly this was a mistake since the tour season was over. But they maneged to get us a personal short guided tour from the youngest family memeber. The cider was really nice, with a lot variation from the different barrels.“

“Visited between Xmas and New Year, so this was the only sidreira open. Large, nice sitting area inside, almost like a biergarten. A bit confused service, but we finally understood that we were supposed to eat to get a table and free sampling of cider from the barrels. For 30 Euro this was a very good deal. Was not able to get much information about the process from the only staff there, but I got to samle many different barrels, which were surprisingly differnet in taste.“

“Quite interesting presentation of the local cider history and todays situation for the Sidra Natural. Friendly people and even made interesting for the children attending. A wide selection of reasonable priced ciders and distilled apple spirit at in the shop. Recommendable if you are in the area, but not really worth a big detour.“

“On my second trip through sidra country, I stopped here for a traditional cider house dinner. The only three places I know that do the dinner year-round are Rezola, Sarasola, and Petritegi, with Rezola being the smallest. Walked in, with the entire place to ourselves. The gentleman walked us to the txotx barrel in the back, showed us how to use it, and went to cook dinner. All the sidra we wanted to pull from the barrel for 8 EUR. The sidra was fresh and delicious. The food was amazing. Bacalao omelete and bacalao with peppers and garlic were both great. The steak was on the fatty side, but delicious. The guy even made us a second steak, thinking we might actually have room for it. Service was top notch. I recommend this place to anyone.“

“Probably the largest cider mill in Euskadi, located on top of a hill outside Astigarraga, beatiful location. A pity that if you want to try cider you have to order the whole sidreria menu (arround 30€) and book in advance while cider season.“

“Small cider museum, where history of basque cider is well explained. They also have a small apple tree plantation for educational purposes. But maybe the most interesting part of the facilities is the store. Two free cider samples included with the ticket and the widest selection of basque cider available anywhere, around 20 ciders and some related beverages. Nice because during cider high season in Astigarraga (new year cider is released)it may be impossible to find seatings without early booking.“

“A very large restaurant and cafe in an industrial part of Astigarraga. Two house ciders available. Didn’t eat, but it’s easy enough to stop in and try the two ciders (for about 1E a piece).“

“Great place for cider 10 minutes outside San Sebastian with taxi. Very enjoyable food, with included entrance to fill your glass by the cider barrels. You can also get it by bottle, but why would you. Different ciders on tap I would make an effort to go there, if/ when I return to the region.“

“Beautiful restaurant and grill, for great cider house dinner. Tables set up in old barrels. Really cool place. We arrived at lunch and ate in the smaller cafe. Nice menu, with some pintxos, bocadillos, and other snacks. Food was good, even compared to a lot of San Sebastian. House sidra is Iretza. Good stuff. Friendly staff. Worth stopping if you’re hitting the area, especially if you want a small meal with sidra, and not the huge dinner.“

“Likely the best place to go in the area. A small museum, and a great store. At least 20 different kinds of sidra, spirits, juices, etc. Two txotx barrels available at all times. Lots of free samples. People were super nice. Some of the museum is in English. Most in Basque, Castillian, and French. Excellent stop.“

“Una sidrería vasca es un lugar especial. Zapiain es una de mis preferidas en cuanto a producto terminado, La carta se basa en eso y comer el menú de sidreria. Especial para ir en grupo y en temporada y disfrutar de una increible experiencia.“

“one of two sagardotegis doing the full dinner and sidra experience year-round. petri is one of the larger houses in astigarraga, and they bring in a lot of san sebastian tourism visits. 28 euro for a massive meal that you won’t be able to finish, and sidra both in bottles and from wood tanks.“
