“Klassisches fränkisches Brauhaus in der Altstadt. Schön zum Draussen Sitzen. 4 Biere vom Fass, dazu einige Flaschen. Leckere Brotzeiten vom örtlichen Metzger und Bäcker. Klasse. In Bad Windsheim und Umgebung führt hier kein Weg vorbei!“

“Great place to go. Located in fantastic open-air museum. Of special interest - old brewery - you can see how it was done couple of centuries ago. 3 their beers were real good (done in a proper brewery located in the next building, though not very modern either ;-)). Definitely returning if in the area again.“

“Old fashioned, narrow and dim brewery-tap in the heart of Bad Windsheim, reminding You of a student’s pub in pre-war time; friendly and knowledgeable service; a place to visit, even though not the whole range of the Döbler Bier is always available.“

76 /100 FRÄNKISCHES FREILANDMUSEUM
“The Kommunbrauhaus im Freilandmuseum, though being part of the open-air-museum Fränkisches Freilandmuseum Bad Windsheim, is still used as a brewery. In summer, public brewing is done occasionally (dates are announced on the museum’s website). The beers brewed here are served in the Wirtshaus am Kommunbrauhaus next door. Not to be confused up with the Wirtshaus im Freilandmuseum (next to the entrance) which serves Döbler beers. The museum is worth a visit, and the Wirtshaus as well. Solid Franconian fare and great beer.“

“Visited on 8/8/2015, when I sat outside. Decent beers, enjoyable sausages with bread and salad, friendly service and locals. Worth visiting.“

“The brewery (doesn’t brew all the time) is part of an excellent open air museum at the start of the Aischgrunder Bierstrasse. Great in the summer, interesting place showing the history and culture of the region. There are 2 beer gardens located in the museum, 1 beside the brewery and the other on the far side. Great place to spend a few hours. andy@bier-mania.com“
