“Pretty far out there, but what a view!. Small taproom in a barn-like building, but the outdoors is where you want to be. Quite a spacious lawn and tables and chairs. The birds are singing. Great, friendly service. Good beer too. Worth the trip“

“Located in quaint downtown Brandon, Red Clover is a simple and small place found in a generic storefront; in front, is the actual brewery; in the back is the tasting area, which is several picnic tables and a well-worn bar. The selection is rather large and diverse. They primarily serve IPAs, but offer several other styles: a wheat and porter, for example. Friendly efficient service and a comfortable ambience makes for a relaxing hour or two. No food is served, but there are good restaurants in the area. (Cafe Provence, for one.)“

“Situated near the quaint town of Brandon, Foley Brothers is a rustic delight! Basically, it is a farm where they brew beer - excellent beer, particularly their array of savory IPAs. The tasting room is a gem: rickety wood tables beneath a towering roof supported by well-worn wooden rafters. There is another, smaller, adjacent bar room, which is used when the larger room is closed. If beer is not your thing, they also make wine - although my wine-drinking friend said she was not "overwhelmed." Whatever... the beer is worth the trip out here. “

“Interesting little place, kind of a farmhouse of its own. Not much parking, but not very busy on a Friday, so it worked out. They have beer and wine, full pours, growlers, cans to go and samples 3 for $5 or 5 for $7. Samples poured one at a time. Wander the grounds while you drink. Good service, high quality beer for the most part.“

“This is a small little place on the main drag in Brandon, perhaps two miles from Foley. Street parking available, but likely gets tight at times. Bar in the back, a few tables about. Free tap seltzer water is a cool touch. Not busy on a Friday afternoon. Friendly and helpful service; really nice people. I had two half pours out of the perhaps 6 beers they had on tap. Both were very good; the double IPA (Fly Agaric) is possibly in the top 5 of all I have tried. Pretty impressive for such a young brewery, but it is Vermont after all. They have some cans to go (I got Fly) as well. Grate place making grate beer. Someday I will be able to say "I knew them when"“

“Very nice small brewery in the Green Mts. You can order 3 samples for 5$ or 5 for 7$. One sample is for free. Good selection of IPAs, sours and stouts. Staff is very friendly and communicative. No food, however still great place to visit.“

“Great little place between Middlebury and Rutland, with top class beers, and wine. They do 5 samples for 7$. Great DIPA and imperial stouts.. In the summer, it’s fun to slurp a cold one on their grounds. Very friendly staff.“

“Not a bad bar that has some beer here. They’re getting better in getting better taps and keeping the glassware clean. Yes, maybe at one time, this place wasn’t so great, but give ’em a chance if you go in here. Not sure if you can get food in here, you might have to go to their sister place called Café Provence.“

“Visited 7-12. Hoping to go back once more to possibly have a better experience. Made the drive from Waterbury and the hour and a half turned into 2 hours. As we got closer on the back winding roads it was apparent some insane cycling convention was going on. I now hate cyclists for this reason and forever. These people refused to ride the side of the road and stayed in the middle of the road no matter what. On winding and waving roads this is difficult to deal with. Had to ride my brakes the last 15 to 20 miles of the drive and pick and choose when to pass since it’s hard to see what’s coming on the other side. Don’t want to get in an accident because some cyclists want to be dicks and not move over. Anyway, when we finally arrive it’s apparent that this cycling convention is being held at the brewery! Oh great.............. This was one of the places I was most excited about visiting, so I didn’t let it get me down. We parked down below in someone’s yard and walked up the hill. When we walked inside, we were greeted with a nice "you’re not cyclists".............. not even a hello and welcome. I said no, but we are here to visit your brewery. The guy was very rude and said "well, we were supposed to be closed today, but I guess I can get to you after I finish with them" (mind you there’s probably about a couple hundred cyclists coming up for their free draft, while we are paying customers). I told him that since they don’t have a brewery website he may want to use his social media accounts next time to tell people they will be closed that day and that I wasn’t going to wait hours for a sample flight. I’m normally very nice to people, since I work part-time in customer service and know how it can be. However, I was pretty upset we were treated as if we were annoying and not wanted there. I looked up the owner pictures online and he wasn’t one of them so idk who he was. Luckily, a nice older lady came inside and he told her so she offered to take care of paying customers while he did the free cyclist pours. A couple other groups came in after us to visit, so this was clearly not communicated. Only had 5 beers to choose from, and the flight was 5, o not much for selection. Also had to use the same glass for all 5 beers, glasses weren’t rinsed (even though the tiny rinser is right there), and I’m sure my buddies and I all drank from each other’s glasses as they went back and forth. They were also out of most bottles except for a fridge full of ginger wheat and spruce session. Value was good and cheat for the flights, just not really run well and glasses should always be rinsed or given new ones. Overall, was not impressed. I bought bottles at a few stores in town and loved the Fair Maiden. Also brought home a couple Citrennial, which was very good. I’m very swayed though as far as going back here on my next visit and giving one more shot.“

“Great little brewery tucked away in the mountains of Vermont. They have access to the very aromatic east coast hops, and know how to use them. One of the best anywhere.“
