80 /100 FLEECE INN, NEAR EVESHAM
“Visited on our heritage pub road trip. It was already dark outside when we arrived. Smell of manure in the air and the classic architecture are making a perfect village pub atmosphere. Cozy old pub interior with low ceilings, wooden beams and lots of wood in general. Several rooms were occupied by locals, seems like a popular place for dinner. There is a nice courtyard with tables and wooden benches outside, I imagine it's great out there on a sunny day. Barnyard can be rented for weddings and gatherings. 5 out of 6 casks beers were on, local beers in a good shape. They had two more craft IPAs and a stout, also three ciders available. Wish we've spent the night here, one of the best pubs in terms of ambiance on our road trip.“

“We have visited this beautiful old pub many times over the years, before and after the devastating fire. The rebuild has been very accurate, although the feel of the place has changed, it is much cleaner now and tidier. The beer choice isn’t so great now as it once was but you are likely to pick up a local brew. Really well worth a visit.“

“Me, my mum & Keith met up with my brother Scott and his wife Mandy and kids here on Saturday 5th April 2014. I last visited this pub some twenty (approx) years ago since then it has been devestated in a fire which if memory serves me correct has seen its previous thatched roof replaced by a tiled/slate? roof now. The pub is tucked away in a corner in the village and yet has a little bit of land with a few ape trees, kids playthings, old barn for functions etc The pub itself is a joy of the old, and quaint the sort of place you absolutely must take any visitor from overseas to. Flagged uneven floors, low beams, big old fireplaces, large wooden curved privacy screens, its all here. I really like the place, beer choice was Uley, Wye Valley, Wychwood and a couple of others incl: two real ciders one of which is their own Ark cider. Great place, great history and beer decent.“

“Old school timbered pub in beautiful surroundings with courtyard/beer garden and barn attached. I visited the Fleece for a friends wedding in 2009 so my experience is perhaps a little atypical. the place oozes olde worlde charm and aside from the wedding function itself (in a small marquee in the garden) the pub was pretty packed with drinkers and diners. half a dozen cask ales from local midlands Micros were on offer all in fine fettle. a morris troop stopped by and did a few dances mid afternoon. got chatting to the landlord and he kindly gave me a lift back to honeybourne station to save me getting a taxi! great pub well worth a detour to if in the area!“

“The website pretty much says it all. Only pub owned by the National Trust. Favorite pub on earth. "The Fleece Inn is a half-timbered medieval farmhouse which originally sheltered a farmer and his stock. The Inn was first licensed in 1848. Fully restored to its former glory, with witches circles and precious pewter collection, it has developed a reputation for traditional folk music, morris dancing and asparagus." “
