74 /100 1315 ROUTE DE GODERVILLE Small working farm with a rustic cider barn in rural Normandy. Driving in you're greeted with hissing geese and some friendly sheep. The barn is split between a shop and a small area displaying various antique equipment and old cider ephemera, bottles, posters etc.. The shop stocks a range of cider / pommeau from the farm, plus a few from other local producers and a few Normandy beers. Another wall is devoted to a large amount of pate, terrine and other bizarre French edibles in jars that I can't quite understand. Some are made with cider. We didn't do the tour, but the owner said we were free to walk around the orchards and see the animals. Nice place. |
72 /100 1315 ROUTE DE GODERVILLE Cosey place in the middle of rural France. You can get a tour there about the farm and the cidery. You can walk around freely and have some ciders or apple juice if you like. Store and taproom are full with local products, ciders, beer, ice cider, pommeau/calvados. If you like you can stay for the night in a cider barrel. Nice to visit with the whole family. Staff is friendly, their English is not too good. |
