70 /100 181 EASTON ROAD, EASTON Taproom in a container at the brewery. Limited beers on tap but a bigger variety of cans are usually available. Always more beers on tap during East Bristol Brewery Trail events, which are held twice yearly. |
74 /100 181 EASTON ROAD, EASTON A small taproom that’s basically a container by the side of the brewery. Minimal with a small bar by the entrance and a bunch of tables and chairs. There was only 2 taps when we visited but a solid selection of cans and bottles to drink in or take away. Friendly and knowledgeable service and of course good quality beers. |
66 /100 181 EASTON ROAD, EASTON Visited here during the East Bristol Brewery Trail (6th May 2018). Although not officially open at this point it looked to be mostly done. A small modern portacabin style room right next to the brewery. Only 1 beer pouring on the day (there were also ~8 available in the brewery itself for the event), there are now 2 or 3 keg lines installed. Decent selection of their own bottles in the fridge, growler fills, some merch also available. Some homely tables and chairs. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. |
70 /100 Old Stillage (Bar) 147 CHURCH ROAD Quirky, heritage pub a good 20 minute walk out from the city centre. It has been linked to Arbor Ales in the past but not presently I'm told. A decent of standard cask beers on, not a huge choice but well kept. |
68 /100 Red Lion (Bar) 206 WHITEHALL ROAD Street corner pub that offers three of four well chosen beers. A real locals’ pub, with a friendly atmosphere and efficient service. Perhaps not worth making a detour to visit but, if you are in the area, a good place to have a drink. |
68 /100 Old Stillage (Bar) 147 CHURCH ROAD Formerly Arbor’s other place in Bristol, which pre-dated the Three Tuns and is more of a community pub. Still sells 4 or 5 Arbor beers on handpump, with sometimes a well-chosen guest, and Yakima Valley on keg, plus standard lagers and ciders. Shows sport on TV and does food. Buses 42 to 45 travel along Church Road from central Bristol. UPDATE: now a freehouse and does not always sell Arbor beers. |
