Prince William (Restaurant)
PRINCE WILLIAM QUAY, BERRY HEAD ROAD
“A newly refurbished & very popular gastropub which was more enjoyable than it first looked. A large patio outside the front for sunny days & a range of Sharp's beers, Atlantic been by choice and very decent. Service was good“

“Basic town centre Wetherspoons just round the corner from the main Bus Stops plus the main shopping street. Roomy and busy with a mix of day trippers and locals. The beer range was very restricted on my 2 visits, with just a couple of easy to find local beers then the Wetherspoons national range. Quite gloomy inside with dark furnishings and flooring. The breakfasts are popular.“

Long Bar (Bar)
UNION LANE
“Bar just off the harbour area, handy for the town bus stops. It has the feel of a youth club rather than a pub and appears to aim just at locals. It feels quite claustrophobic in here, there doesn’t appear to be any natural light available. Little of interest on the beer front.“

“Rather a smart bar on a rise from the harbour area of town, part of a larger hotel. Comfortable and welcoming. There is a wide bar area and lounge like seating. A few ales to go at. Worth a visit.“

“Popular Quay side pub catering for all right next door to The Sprat & Mackerel. There is certainly a nautical theme in here. Single roomed, comfortable, friendly. Small range of ales. Worth a look.“

“Right on the quay side overlooking the harbour area, this is a rather untidy affair, well worn locals pub. Nothing adventurous on the beer front just Doom Bar and another national. Not one to return to.“

“Proper back street boozer high above Brixham Harbour, seemingly by the old railway station. End of terrace, there is just the bar area on entry, a couple of benches out front and a smokers yard to the rear. There is a good range of local beers available plus some interesting ciders, the Landlord is very keen on real ales and ciders with well guided recommendations. Well worth a visit and easily the best pub locally.“

“Close to the main busy crossroads in the commercial centre of the town, this is a fairly small Wetherspoons with a very traditional soft furnished pub style using lots of dark woods. There’s nautical themed displays and items throughout. Visited in 2011.“

“Visited on recommendation. Great beer range all in good condition ( six pumps) No food, no jukebox, no pol table, just good beer and a nice atmosphere. Usually a beer from Hunters brewery on. Brains SA, Cottage Tornado, Bass and Proper job also available during my visit. well worth seeking out if you in Brixham/ Torbay.“

“Basic Wetherspoon’s pub, where the beer quality in the past has been a bit up and down. The present manager and staff are very interested in keeping a good range of quality beers within the Wetherspoon’s constraints, and are obviously trying very hard. Typical Wetherspoon’s food.“

“One-bar end of terrace boozer. Good selection of beers - 4-6 usually on. Always has a Hunter’s Brewery beer, and one beer at £2 a pint. A good mix of local and countrywide ales. Last visit, the Oakham JHB was spot-on and dangerously nice. This pub has had a checkered history in the past, but now in the hands of a beer oriented landlord. No pool table, no juke box, just a comfortable ’local’“
