64 /100 Albert Heijn (Bussum) (Grocery Store) VEERSTRAAT 20 Regular supermarket, offering cca 50 to 60 individual bottles (Belgian classics and Dutch craft mainly). Nothing to write home about, but a good place to grab a cold one for decent, grocery-store-price. |
64 /100 Café Goesting (Bar) KAPELSTRAAT 28 Small typical old brown bar, where you enter through a curtain and immediately see the long bar in front of you. At both sides in the front are a couple of tables. Small tap list, with some Gulpener brews, but they also had a Cuvee du Chateau from tap and a Uiltje Bird of Prey. Mostly (good) Belgian suspects from bottle, but also a local Amazing Bliss. Staff was a bit rusty, first mixing up Cuvee du Chateau with Chateau Neubourg, but very friendly. In the end, you dont visit a bar like this for their beer knowledge, but more as a second living room I guess. Friendly atmosphere. For beer geeks, this might not be a place to go, but if you want to enjoy a typical 'gezellige' Dutch bar, you can easily spend the evening here. |
36 /100 Slijterij Michel (Beer Store) LAARDERWEG 5 Not really an interesting place. Usual Belgians and some common Molen beers. Be sure to check dates. They sell ipa more than 2 years past their bottle date. Prices are reasonable though (except for shelf aged ipas). |
32 /100 Slijterij Michel (Beer Store) LAARDERWEG 5 Apart from some De Molen beers and a few Spencers not the best selection in that part of the country. Empty shelves, dark. |
70 /100 Slijterij Michel (Beer Store) LAARDERWEG 5 Nice ambiance, dark, woody, simple. Regular selection of some Belgian beers. Orval for a very good price. And unexpectedly, some ’normal’ de Molen beers for a good price. |
60 /100 Slijterij Michel (Beer Store) LAARDERWEG 5 Nice licor store, with a decent beer section. Selection of mostly regulars, with some incidental beers from smaller breweries. |
