“After the funeral on a Saturday night, the family gathered here for supper and fellowship. Service was excellent, Curtis created a large area with tables for the family to visit with cousins that we do not see that often. Ella was our waitress and she stayed on top of the various orders. The food was good and the beer selection met our needs. TVs are on most walls. We watched NASCAR, NHL, golf, and basketball in our section.“

“An easy to find smallish place in Cary. Wow, they attempt to brew everything here; among other stuff they brew Kombucha, Hard Kombucha, Kombucha Beer, Craft Beer, Seltzer, Water Kefir, Cold Press Juice, Jun Tea and other Specialty World Ferments. Of course, I came here for the craft beer. Inside its very new, clean and very tidy and the brewing equipment is over to the left side. Bags of brewing supplies stacked along the wall. Get any kind of brew at the counter and then sit your self down at any of a variety of tables placed strategically around. We had our grandson with us and its very kid friendly too, lots of games for them to play. I had 5 craft beer samples from a list of over a dozen; 4 oz samples were $2 each. My wife had a flight of different kombuchas. The help was so friendly and easy going as well as very knowledgeable about all their brew types. Very good overall brew tasting experience.“

Trader Joe’s - Cary (Grocery Store)

“As a beer taster, I was very happy with this place. As with most all trader Joe's, its a happy fun clean venue to shop. Lots of nifty groceries but the coolest thing was the beer selection and prices. I found many brews here that I already bought at total wine, but the prices are a lot less. Additionally, I found many brews here that total wine did not have. I'm glad I stopped here. Yes this place does not have a tenth of the selection of total wine but I was very happy with what I found. I easily found 2 mixed six packs of beers I never tasted. Overall good beer searching experience.“

“Visited this place last time I was in NC. Its a typical total wine store and that means its the wallmart of beerstores - tons of brews lots of them local and the prices are darn good. I'm never disappointed when I go into a total wine, no matter what city it is. My only problem is that I spend at least an hour finding tons of beers I've never tasted before. They always have a really good selection of small micro brew locals too. Great place these total wines. I left this place with over 24 different singles! The people are also very friendly too!“

“How can you not like this place? Cold Sunday in Cary, in fact it was snowing, on a break from my daughter's swim meet. Darkly lit but very cozy and warm, Army/Navy game on the TV but a soccer game would have been more fitting. 10 taps, but what was really eye-catching was the 7 handpumps! Had the 2017 Vintage Ale (think Fullers Vintage) and their porter as well. Very friendly crew. Will be back next year!“

“Located in a neighborhood, plain industrial building on the outside. Inside is a trip to merry old England! Super nice interior, comfortable seating areas perfect for gathering of friends. Bar area too and tables. Nice AC keeping its cool on a hot day. Nice line up of beers with something for everyone. Flights and samples available. Service was knowledgeable but way over worked with a steady flow of customers keeping 1 guy so busy that it was painfully slow to get a beer. Restrooms were clean and nice. Over all one of my favorite places to visit in the area. Awesome.“

“Nice clean place in an old warehouse, which seems to be the theme for most craft breweries these days. Super nice outdoor seating area. Inside has cool AC and a nice bar space, with tables too. My main complaints are a few. 1- on the day I visited the music was so loud that I couldnt hear what the bar tender was saying. The service was OK but 2 - quoted me a list of regulations of what she can and cant do. OK I’m here for the beer, not a class on alcohol enforcement. No problem anywhere else in this state. Also 3 - NO FLIGHTS. 9 beers on tap when I was here, and samples were stingy. Not easy to try that many beers. Need some better bar tenders.“

“Bond Brothers is my favorite brewery in the State and that says a lot. They opened in April of 2016 and have been pumping out solid beers ever since. No food here, but they sometimes have food trucks for special events and allow you to bring food in. Pretty much everything they do is solid. No, they don’t allow flights, but will gladly pour you a sample so it’s all good. They have a variety of beers that are all solid, always have a kettle soured version of their Sorcery on, several IPAs (try the local, they brew with different hops every time), and their Blonde Roast (a 10% imperial blonde) which they use as a base for variants off of that. They have recently started bottling some of their beers in bombers and you can get crowlers of some of their flagships to take home. The space is great, very dog friendly and as I said the best brewery in NC!“

“Just a five minute walk from Crosstown pub and the Pharmacy bottle shop. Production facility with a nice modern taproom on the far end with a ton of garage doors that open onto a beautiful patio. As close to having your bar en plein aire as you can get without locating it outside, and it was a warm and sunny 72 degrees in January. A dozen or so beers on tap including three sours. Sadly, no flights - points off for that, and this place has no excuse. Server was generous with the samples though. And both 10 & 16 ounce pours were available. Beers were tasty. Food is chips/crisps. Nice place. Plenty of street parking since it’s kind of off by itself.“

“Just a 5 minute walk from Bond Brothers and a block from Crosstown pub with a convenient and very nice coffee place in between. Large space with a corner bar and lots of shelves plus two coolers. Decent enough range of bottled and canned beers. Taplist was mostly flagships from near and far. OK if you’re in the immediate area.“

“This place was a nice lunch stop at the beginning of a Raleigh beer trip. Seems like few beery places are open for lunch on weekdays here, so this was actually my third stop. Right on the main street of small town Cary about a five minute walk from Bond Brothers. Parking lot next door and a smaller one around back. Two rooms, one with a long bar, the rest are restaurant tables. Genuinely friendly service. Food was very tasty top notch pub food and sandwiches, the fish and chips were massive. About a dozen local beers, so I found enough to keep me happy. Nice stop.“

“Between their great Run Club on Tuesday nights and the fact that it’s about a 3 minute drive from my house, this has become my local haunt. They always have a great variety of stuff on tap. No food in house but they do sell some bags of chips and they almost always have a food truck there. They just added some more seating/event space so it’s not as hard to find a table as it was for awhile. Big fan!“

“Really enjoyed this place. The two most important factors of a great taproom in my opinion are high quality beer and unique interesting options. They had some cool treatments of sours, IPAs, and imp stouts on when we were there and everything was really enjoyable. Brought home a crowler of a really good Berliner. Really cool glassware as well so we bought a glass too. Well decorated environment with family friendly games. Overall, this was a great little brewery to visit and as long as they keep up what they’re doing I think the word will spread.“

“Warehouse space in downtown Cary. Nice job rehabbing the spot. Two story high warehouse with bar area built in 15 or so people can fit at bar. Several table looking into brewing area. Large outdoor patio. Two TVs. Big garage doors can open up in nice weather. Service has been good on my visits, keeping up at peak volume. No food themselves, but just about always a food truck here. Little Ceasar’s around the corner. Good selection of their own beer. Seems like always a couple sours, couple ipa’s and several other styles 5 or 6 bucks a 16oz glass seems the norm. Really like it here. Worth the visit of you are in the area.“

“located in a strip at High House and 55 intersection in Cary. it’s a bottle shop, bar in middle, beer on walls all around, IPA’s kept cold generally. Matt works hard to please, great guy. Good selection, gets some things from Wilmington I don’t find else where in triangle. Prices are on par for the area. Love Highcraft, I can walk here, granted on the longer side of a walk, but walking is good. not gonna say you have to go out of your way for it, but if you’re int he area well woirth a visit, nice online info for what beer is on tap, and how much is left in each keg.“

“in a funny triangle shaped building on the corner of Chatham and Maynard, lots of windows, outdoor area that’s in the front of the building, tad noisy out there as it’s a major street, fair amount of TV’s, in bar in dining area, staff has always been good. good local selection with a decent national crafts (example Sierra, Victory, Knee Deep) available. Good food here, prices fair for area. Is close to PNC arena and NC State football stadium, without being caught up in the immediate chaos of it. I enjoy coming here, once amonth or so“

“In new development " the Bradford " at high house and Davis drive in Cary. Big windows let plenty of light in, white walls, high ceilings, dozen or so at the bar. Outdoor seating too. Service been fine, but I’ve haven’t seen it full to see them tested either. Solid selection of local and national craft beer, no bmc on tap. Food is pizza. Sandwhiches salads good overall, but not outstanding. Prices fair for area. Not a go out of your way for place, but I can walk here so that’s a plus“

“Interesting little place in a neighborhood that happens to be near our in laws place. Open, comfortable inside. Its really slow, but its 3:00pm on a Wednesday. Four regular taps with a small batch offering and a guest tap and some wine offerings. Some snacks available but no food. A nice flat screen TV for sporting things and some very comfy looking couches and chairs (I usually prefer the bar). Wireless. All the beers I tried from them are well made and remind me of my trip to Norwich a few years ago. Will be coming back a few times over the next week for world cup games for sure!“

“Well. Not really a place that needs to be in here but since someone add it here goes. I come here because I can walk here. Beer selection isn’t gonna do anything for a rater. But a few locals beers that I drink. 20 oz pints on Tuesday’s. They have a bar side and a restaurant side. Nice feel for plaza bar. Food is good more hits than misses. Typical burgers chicken sandwiches. Some Irish choices corned beef. Bangers. Decent prices for the area. Am I saying you should come here, no. But it’s part of a crawl I can do from my house.“

Rectangle bar. 20 plus people ca sit plus another 6 tables and side room. Dinning area is large. Furniture covered in a patch cloth motif. Bunch of MM stuff on walls. Food is good. “Probably shouldn’t be in data base. It’s fine. Weird spot that use to be a gas station so it has an outdoor area that use to house the pumps now serves as a parking outdoor seating, cornhole playing area. Bararea on left dining area on right facing from parking lot. Ok selection of beer. Dales pale. SNPA, Foothills hoppyum, aviator saison best of on tap this visit. Rock n roll kitch on walls. Garage doors between bar and dining room that opens up when bands play. Food is ok, as I remember. Slightly better prices by local standards. Its fine. New ownership trying to clean place up.“

“On the corner of a large shopping mall. Bar on left dining room straight a head as you walk in. Large bar and a a counter top area facing parking lot. Dozen or so tables in dim ing area. With a good size patio area. 6 tvs at bar with a projection tv dominating dining area. Mmodest selection. But couple good choices. Foothills Jade ipa, bear republic tribute brown, bells oberon, SNPA best this day fortaps. Ok bottles too. Didnt have food this trip but its been good when iI’ve had it in the past. Gets loud here. Big family place. Never been here late night. Not a go outta your way for place. But fine for taking people to who might be leary of a big time beer bar.“

“stand alone box in larger mall area. Good size place. When you walk in ding area is on immediate right, bar area is second right. brick and wood, lots of triangle sports team stuff on wall, old beer memorbilia too. well worn, things seemed a little dingy. Service was ok, could of been better, one bartender working bar and serving waitstaff, so was busy. they have pool table and video games. Lots of Tv’s. Definate game watching place. outdoor area can be nice int he right weather, though it is right by major intersection so there is traffic noise. Big selection of beer, nothing rare, but you should find something you can drink here. out of towners will find enough NC stuff to get some rates/ticks in. Food was ok, typical chain burger and wings type stuff. comparable prices for the area for what you get. I can see how this use to be exciting, classic family style sports bar.“

“My favorite beer place in the Triangle. While they do mostly cater to wine drinkers you can find a lot of beers here that are not available anywhere else locally, even the independent beer stores in the area. Plus, if you sign up for their emails, they will send you beer coupons for $1 off 4- and 6-packs of beer on top of their already great prices. Nobody else does that, and that is the reason why I continue to shop at Total Wine. Service can be hit or miss. Most of the people are friendly but some are not. Despite the fact that I am in there twice almost every week they still continue to card me which is annoying. Most employees usually don’t greet me or ask me if I need help, which is fine for me but others may dislike that. The Total Wine website is a little difficult to navigate as well, but I can’t blame this particular store for that. Sometimes items are not priced on the shelf and I have to ask someone, but that is a minor complaint. While they clearly are not a beer-first store, you really can’t go wrong with Total Wine. The store can be difficult to find. However, they have a large selection, competitive prices and offer coupons. I wish the service and website were a little better though. 7.4/10“

“I liked this place. It has the feel of a nice classic dive bar that’s sports friendly, yet has quite a few good brews on tap. The beers are solid and fairly well skewed toward local options, but nothing is terribly rare or intriguing. Still though, I like what I was able to find there. Food was very solid bar food. “Great place to find a wide range of beers at pretty darn good prices. The thing I like best about this place is that they label their beer well, so you know what it is, it’s description, and where it came from. That is remarkably hard to find in beer store. Also, they have WiFi in the store, but refuse to give out the password to it - and, they act like a--holes while telling you no.“

“This is a great little sports bar. They don’t do anything in house, but they had 72 different brews on tap, heavily favoring the local brews. Great variety on taps, and their menu has them separated by type and with the full commercial description, so you know what you’re getting. They do have a few sampler flights, but I find those a little disappointing as some beers appear in multiple flights, and there are NO substitutions. Food was decent. It was bar food, but it wasn’t bad. Service was about as good as you could expect on a busy Friday night. Great find when coming in from out of town.“

“The store is a bit crowded, but the selection for wine and beer is pretty good. However, you are going to pay a couple bucks more for what you can get for cheaper at places like Total Wine and other stores. But, that is to be expected here since it’s not a one stop shop for just alcohol.“

“I love the staff up there at Total Wine, especially Matt and Bernie. I have been a big wine consumer for years, but over the last year I have bought my fair share of beers in their vast individual bottle section and 4-6 pack aisle. Their prices from wine to beer are a couple of dollars better than the local food stores with decent selections like Lowes Food and Harris Teeter. So if you are in the mood for a different beer, you can’t find a better place in the area for selection and to try something new.“

“Nice place, host greets you when you walk in, bar behind the host area, kind of hidden, big sort of c shaped bar, about 15 people fit. 4 table’ three booths. 8 tv’s. Bunch of wood panels, beige paint, wood floor. Restaurant is split on either side plus a small upstairs area that offers outside dining, it is a bit of a haul up there, outdoor seating weather permitting. Foods been good, they source a lot of local stuff. Nothing on menu over 15 bucks, but a lot over 10. Grind their own beef so you can get medium rare burger. Solid place to go, just surprised me by having DR Baltic porter and Foothills sexual choc on tap. Not a seek out place, but worth the visit if in the area, better food than it’s competion in area. Service has been good, though I feel like you get some coached cheerfulness sometimes.“

“Like the name of the company implies they deal mainly with wine so the store doesn’t have a beer centric look or feel. What they do have and what I am grateful for is a fairly large selection of beers in multiple locations of the store. If you cant find something in the main central beer aisle there is also a seasonal aisle and beer in the front cold display. They do offer the pick your own six pack but this can get pretty expensive really quick. Ive never talked to any of the staff about the beer but I’ve never really wanted any help. All of the quality beers I have rated (Rochefort, Stone, Bells) have come from this store and they seem to rotate these hard to find beers fairly often. When I lived in Tennessee there was nothing anywhere that could compare to the quality beer selection that they have at this store so finding this store in NC was like walking through the pearly gates.“

“Moderate sized Whole Foods. Parking is tight as it is at nearly all WFM locations. Friendly service though no one asked me if I needed help in the beer section. Very nice beer selection, with local beers well represents, some nice surprises such as Cantillon, and plenty of other good stuff. Some nice sales. You can break any six pack, as they have a build your own section AND a separate single section for pricier beers. The second best Triangle area WFM for beer selection behind Raleigh.“
