“Expansive place in the middle of rural Washington. Lots of house beers on tap. The regular ones are as boring and uninspired as can be, but some of the bigger beers are much more interesting. You can do a flight of all 10 beers on for cheap or pay $1.25 per sample -- a steal. The clientele here are mostly older folks and of the very religious type it seemed. Service is very friendly. Not the type of place I’d like to frequent much, but it was a fun one-time stop. Very limited hours, only open for a few hours per day twice a week, so it’s difficult to time the trip right if you’re just passing through.“

“A deli/restaraunt/tap room. Quaint and pleasant with really nice service. Lots of taps and a huge and cheap tasting board. Food is lots of game meats at a good price. Beer is pretty decent with a few stand outs. A great stop on the way to or from Portland.“

“Pretty cool place, large open room with a wood stove, long bar. Back around a few corners is the smaller "theater" bar and the theater. I did enjoy my food and beers as much as I did at the other McMemnamins locals I have been. I have to inquire about the hotel as I have to potentially come to Centrailia at minimum on a near yearly basis.“

“Great little place that is totally worth the stop if you’re driving down I-5. I didn’t expect much but left impressed. The service was excellent--a friendly waitress who knew about the beer. I ordered a flight and was surprised to see how many different samples were on the platter--I think there were eleven! The food was very good. Prices were reasonable. I would certainly return the next time I’m driving by.“

“Great old school bar with in house brews. Loads of pool tables and 2 snooker tables. Cast iron stove in the winter, movies in the theater, and rooms for rent. What could be better.“

“Made a point of stopping (and staying) at this place during a recent road trip. Like many McMenamins pubs, they have the ambiance down pat. Beautifully restored old brothel/hotel (or Gentleman’s Club in the old-timey vernacular) on a main drag in Centralia. The pub is all old wood and polished brass with a lot of character. There is an attached movie theatre that shows films (free admission with hotel stay) and allows you to bring beer in from the pub to enjoy while watching the film. The rooms upstairs are also very quaint with quotes from some of the characters from Centralia’s history painted on the walls. Lots of cool folk art in the hotel side as well. I liked that they’d give you a quart growler pour to take up to your room while you were staying there as well. Had breakfast in the pub the following day which was also delicious. Awesome spot actually - they do everything right. The beer is typical McMenamins, but if you’re in the area you need to drink here.“

“I love this place and have fond memories here. It’s just cosy and fun. Very easy to spend an afternoon eating and drinking. Beers and food are equally worthwhile. Should’t be missed if you ever wander thru Centralia but worth making a trip for.“

“Nice, small, friendly place. Dick’s beer. The meat on the sandwhiches is smoke by Dick. They do need a better sourdough bread and a more presentable bathroom. Worh a visit.“

“Over the past year I have been waiting patiently for Dicks Brewing to finally be up and running a there new site. Finally last week I was able to se the new place and have a pint of two. The new brewery is big much bigger than the old place. I got the grand tour from both Dave and Parker the Head brewer and assistant brewer. Loved the place and the extra room to grow gives the feeling they are going to grow much, much bigger. The tap room is in the same area as the brewery and has limited hours so catch them on Fridays from 3-7pm and have some awesome brews. Dicks brewing has it going on for sure. If you long for the old place NW Sausage & Deli they have all the Dicks brews on tap and you can get the great sausage and other foods. So check them out this is a great new addition to the Pacific North West.“

“Faster is suggested as beer quality varies widely from style to style. Excellent brats and enthusiastic staff. Motto: you can’t beat dick’s meat.“

“I wish this place was open at night. Everytime I come by here they are closed, and I feel like I just missed them because it was only a few minutes after closing. One of these times I will write the hours down and make a special effort to come by when they are open because I really like a few of their beers.“

“Visited 07Jul2007. Good food. Good meat selection. Beer selection was good. Their IPA is very good. If you are going near Centralia on I-5, stop and check the place out.“

“What a nice place to stop at in Centralia. Did not think you would find this here but it was great. The atmosphere a typical McMenamins which I love. The beer was great and plenty the food as usual was awesome. Had a very nice time the pool tables I could see are an asset at busy times and the music was awesome also. Good old hard Rock and Roll. This would be a fun place for a nice party. The bar was filled and the liquor to choose from was also plenty. I want to try there own stuff but that will be next time. Across the street are about 10 antique stores so guys bring the wives give them the credit card and you can drink your worries away. Great place!!!“

“Updated this is Dicks Brewing beer only the old brewery location. Wow what a find. In the middle of no where there’s Dicks. A great little place for a easy to get German style lunch. The little pub with good beer and food. The people serving where very nice and busy and the brewery was small and soon to be relocated. This is a must see on your trips up and down I-5. Great times. They have a ton of beers on tap you can only find at the pub. They also have all sort of tee shirts, and such to sell also. Be sure to get some Lava Porter it is very tasty along with the IPA the brewers uses Dick’s fresh hops from the home garden. Talk to Dick he is a character and then some.“

“Great potential but they do not make good use of it. No IPA available yesterday, waitress forgot to place our food order, she was cool about it but it dampened my opinion of the place. I am begining to think that McMenamin’s has stretched themselves a little too far. Just because you can do 4 or 5 places well doesn’t mean you can handle 50.“

“This was my second time to come here. The first time I only got beer to go because I was sick. This time my wife and I got a sample tray (which had 11 beers!) and some sandwiches. The smoked roast beef sandwich was great and so was the beer. All the other smoked meats looked good as well. And the staff was friendly too. Anytime I’m in the area I will check this place out. While we were there they told they are opening a new larger brewery down the street but they are keeping this place as a retail outlet for the beer and meat.“

“I love the beer, so it’s hard for me to be objective. It’s like going into a place that is one part deli, one part specialty meat shop, and one part seriously tasty beer. I liked it a lot. We sat outside and enjoyed delicious sandwiches and even better beer. Indeed, the XXX pepperoni is some seriously hot stuff. Good thing I had plenty of tasty Dick’s beer to wash it down with. Dick happened to be there so we got a tour of the brewery. Nice guy, nice place, beautiful beer.“

“Down an old road, this place looks like an old cabin. Parked in the gravel lot and walked in to a deli-sortof place. There were a few coolers of bottles, almost all of the bottles, and a few taps as well. Only one seasonal or one-off available on my visit, but the pepperoni sticks were very tasty, and what they called the XXX Hot was actually pretty darn hot, which is a rarity up North.“

“Colorful neighborhood a couple miles off the interstate, fairly easy to find. Small parking lot, small building. Looks more like a Sausage company than a brewery. Inside it like a small conveinience store with beer, soda and sausage but there’s a small extention with tables and you notice 9 taps behind the counter. They have almost all of their beers available in bottles. You can buy them any way you want them, singles, sixers, create your own, cases, half rack. They even make a 12pack of different stuff you can just pick up right there. Not just 3 or 4 different ones, but all 12 are different. Good deal! I bought what I needed and moved on, didn’t bother with the other hubub. Looked nice though inside and the people knew what they were doing. Have to try to sausage next time!“
