“I bought a lot of cans which have never been a priority to buy during previous visits in Sweden. Well, I didn’t find many new craft beers to purchase, so my visit ended up as a pale lager crap beer Bonanza! Tick,tick... I had now tasted blood! I also raided the grocery stores: Maxi Mat, Hypermat and Euro Cash in search for "Folkøl" (Beer up to 3,5 %, made for the Swedish market) Yippie-Ki-Yay, light pale lagers! “Close to the Norwegian border, as Sigmund says, more Norwegians than Swedish language spoken inside.Small selection of beer, if we take away those pale lagers. Very easy to navigate in the beer department, and pretty good prices for a Norwegians. Polite staff.“

“Being close to the Norwegian border, this Systembolaget store probably has more Norwegian than Swedish customers. Tolerable selection of decent foreign beers and some Swedish micros, and of course the usual Swedish pale lager swill.“

“Swedens goverment owned monopoly, for selling Beer & other alcoholic beverages. Usually and generally have a good assortment, with prices dictated by taxes rather than: profit, availability and popularity. So rare hard to come by beverages CAN!!! be found at modest prices. “

“Sweden is a bit strange in that everything over 3.5% is only available at the state controlled Systembolaget. As usual the staff is not very knowledgable about beer or their own selection, but the selection is decent compared to most Vinmonopolet shops in Norway and the price is very low compared to Norway. Unfortunately their selection is not as good as it used to be, but if you’re in the area you should swing by just in case.“
