“Quick visit en route to Dudmaston Hall. Hobsons seems to be situated on what was probably an old farm, certainly the brewery building itself is pretty old. The visitor centre however is brand spanking new. I notice Jeremy mentions a visitor centre back in 2013, but this hasn't even been finished, though the chap here promises the builders should be finished by the end of the month, when a new kitchen and bar should be fully operational showcasing locally sourced food, and locally sourced beer from the brewery next door. There's a display with the current range of Hobsons beers available to buy in bottle, alongside a small range of merch, including some Hobsons branded socks. Reckon this should be quite popular with the locals once it's fully up and running.“

“This is an update from my original review. Still a friendly place to visit, but they now have a new dedicated tasting room/visitor centre. It's modern and slick but I much preferred the laid back system they had before. Old review from here: I haven’t been for a while now, but I’ll review the place because it so good. The hospitality is second to none (which is why I’ve been four times): The first pint is gravity poured for you, it’s up to you then to replenish. Once everyone’s had a couple of beers they take you around the old cow shed and the new extension explaining the brewing process etc, etc. On returning to the tasting area (a cold storage room with barrels, racking and shelving around, more beer is consumed. Normally just two beers on tap. The food offered is always the same: a Huge Shropshire Blue Cheese, locally baked Bloomer Loaves, local Pickle and a wonderfully produced tart-like,local lattice Pork Pie. They only provide one knife though: so I usually grab that and dish out the food, making sure I have the most of course! On the last two times I’ve visited they’ve come with us to the pub afterwards and bought the first round for the whole bus.“
