| 60 /100 ADAMI-STRASSE 2 “Oddly located along a busy main highway in Coburg, Ed’s is a characterful stube with a warm, smoky fire and an endless assortment of local nostalgia tacked on the walls. Everybody seems to drink Lowenbrau except the old bartender (is that Ed?) who was drinking the house beer. When I ordered a kleines Hausbrau he poured me a whole for the cost of a small and made me clink his glass, he looked so happy that someone came in to drink his beer, it was a warm moment, but the beer was sour and smelled of rancid cheese and butter and I could only stomach a few sips. Can’t blame the locals for sticking with Lowenbrau.
