86 /100 2233 KAFTAN WAY Stopped by last Saturday for a beer and donut pairing event. The donuts were good as was the beer. Tried six beers across several styles and they ranged from good to very good. Huge place. Big inside, large patio area with several seating areas. Rentable "cocoons" aka cabins which are reservable with a $100 bar tab. Didn't see signs of food, but, with the donut event I wasn't looking. Staff was all pleasant. Parking could get tight. Overall a great new addition to the area and I'll definitely be back. |
40 /100 Festival Foods - De Pere (Beer Store) 1001 MAIN AVE Randomly stopped in here as it's near Wine Cellar. It's a big grocery store. I did not go into the grocery area and stuck to the separate liquor section. Large BYO section lacks quality. It was stocked with core beers and dominated by alcopops, hard seltzers, and the like. No seasonals even though there were plenty of local breweries. I struggled to find six new beers despite the large selection. They have a tiered single system based on rarity of the beer, but the organization was so haphazard it was hard to tell what was the price of anything. I saw one beer under three different price points. Overall it's a place to stock up on ticks especially if you're from out of state. But, don't come here unless you're already going to the Wine Cellar. On the bright side, service was actually pretty friendly. |
68.5714285714 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Large space, kinda dark inside. Oodles of beer. Most cold. Rarities, this seems to be a premier bottle shop in the area so they get great distro. Customer service was good... greeted immediately upon entering and had a nice conversation with the shopkeeper that was only interrupted by the lady who needed to check out with her Miller Lite. Good selection. Lots of seasonals and less common beers. BYO section is ample with 3 4-foot sections. They offer some food. Meats and cheeses and such, and I totally would have picked up some awesome-looking locally made brats if I weren't staying in a hotel room tonight. Prices seemed a touch high but not outrageous. Overall worth a stop if you're driving by on the interstate. |
80 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Clean and modern, concrete all around. Meat freezer with charcuterie and Wisconsin cheeses. Fridges are well stocked and clean with mostly American craft brews. Staff is willing to help at every turn.
Only small gripe is that some of the bottles are a month + old. |
76 /100 Brickhouse Burgers and Brew (Restaurant) 500 GRANT ST Nice looking bar area. Had some pretty nice taps at the time. Food looked good but didn’t order. Will be back to try the burgers. |
84 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Hidden gem in the area. Good selection, nice layout, and helpful staff. More reasonably priced than others. |
86 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Excellent selection for the area - great staff and owners! |
96 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Incredible store. I have shopped at the old location (3 doors down) and had to stop when I heard they were selling 5oz. Cold water Lobster Tails for $4.50 each!!! What a great addition to De Pere...this has to be the coolest store north of MKE. The Craft beer selection is amazing and it is all COLD! The owner and wife were both working and are great people. |
92 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE I stopped here because I saw a sign that said craft beer. The place is new a very well organized. The owner is very cool and happy to help. Prices are cheaper than ridgeview but selection is not quite as big. A definite must stopif you love craft beer. |
90 /100 Graystone Ale House (Restaurant) 3711 MONROE RD Please note that I am affiliated with this location...We’re in the process of adding an additional 8 draft lines for a total of 26! Everything should be up and running by Thanksgiving! |
94 /100 Graystone Ale House (Restaurant) 3711 MONROE RD Huge WI craft beer selection |
46 /100 Festival Foods - De Pere (Beer Store) 1001 MAIN AVE It seems like they are cutting down on their craft beer and adding more "craft" breweries that are owned by the big 3 (2 now). This place use to have a great selection. |
82 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Nice place. No hard to find stuff though as far as beer goes. |
74 /100 Festival Foods - De Pere (Beer Store) 1001 MAIN AVE better than most grocery stores, but if you’re in the area, just go to Ridgeview Liquor. |
84 /100 Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 813 MAIN AVE Great local liquor store with a great selection of micros, single bottles and even an above average bourbon selection. They will order anything for you. In addition, great specialty meat selection. |
72 /100 Pasquale’s International Café (Restaurant) 305 MAIN AVE. I visited Pasquale last summer just to have a bite and was surprised by the decent selection of craft beer!! I had Dales Pale Ale and a Chicago style hot dog, both excellent!! The selection is above average but nothing rare. The food is good and decor is kinda strange. |
