“Not an easy and cheap place to visit for beer tourists, that's for sure! About 40 minutes by car from the main road E6 to Sandnessjøen, pricey road toll and then a ferry trip to the Dønna island. And, since my plan was to try all their beers, accommodation was also required. I had been in touch with Dag and Susanne at 3 Kalver to make sure their own beer were available and to book accomodation at the farm. There is a small camping site for caravans or tents, but my choice was the fully equipped appartment downstairs in the barn. A really nice place! The restaurant is upstairs in the barn. Four bottled and unlabelled beers available at my visit. The "Belgisk Blond" was alright, the rest rather mediocre homebrews. 70 kr for 33 cl and 110kr for 50 cl. ABV was "about" 4.7% I was told. At Sundays the locals seems to vist to enjoy a classic Norwegian dinner. I enjoyed a large plate deepwater redfish and later on a cured elk sausage. I had most beers outside at the patio untill the cold sea fog came and forced me inside. Very friendly and attentive service. The hosts were also very talkative. Definetely worth a visit, but not only for the beers. (Visited July 25th 2021)“
