76 /100 24 E MAIN ST From vist on 8/17/23. Nice commercial space on the main strett, with both a store front entrance and an entrance from the rear where there is parking. Looons bar runs the length of the place. Has a neighborhood bar feel. comfy, friendly. Beer's were good, service was great. Enjoyed my stay here. |
82 /100 24 E MAIN ST Fun old building. This place is much larger than it appears from the tiny storefront. Massive bar and merch section, a smaller area with hoagie prep, and then the back room with some vintage video games. There is also a lovely patio if the weather is nice. Lager-focused beer menu, hoagie focused food. |
40 /100 301 WEST MAIN STREET We came here on 25.8.2018. Small brewpub with outside patio not far away from the Ephrata cloister. A live band was playing outside when we were visiting. Unfortunately both beers we tasted were very poor and we only had a sip. |
76 /100 1701 W. MAIN Came here 22.11.2017. Very busy on a Wednesday afternoon, maybe due to Thanks Giving coming up tomorrow. 13 of their own beers and 5 guest beers (Mad Elf!) on tap. We had a Wynfrid Dark mild (3.2%) and a hopped lager, both are good light beers. Nice dark ambience. Overall a good experience. |
80 /100 301 WEST MAIN STREET Small house reinvented as a nano brewery and tasting room. In the quiet old town of Ephrata right off the main drag. The actual tasting room is not that big and was full when I stopped by on a Saturday evening. Very friendly atmosphere and service for sure. Smallish bar seats 7 and about 4 or 5 tables. I walked right up to a seat at the bar and was immediately serviced. Easy parking on side of road. Six of their own beers on tap. Everybody was happy and having a nice time and so did I. Flight of 6 beers for $12. |
72 /100 1701 W. MAIN Stopped by on my way back from a conference in Hershey. No food truck anywhere to be seen. Beer selection was very solid and the prices for the sampler, and growler were very affordable for the quality of the beer. Bartender was serviceable, but didn’t really seem all that interested in a newcomer. I would return. |
72 /100 1701 W. MAIN Checked this place out for dinner and some brews .... food truck on site wasn’t appealing so the bartender gave us a pizza menu from down the street and they delivered to the bar .... brews were cheap and took home a few crowlers because the price was right ... the beer is average at best and the staff was friendly .... looks like they are setting up for a pizza oven in the future ..... not a bad little place to visit they also have an outside patio .... hopefully they get better at brewing |
88 /100 301 WEST MAIN STREET Microbrewery in Ephrata. Full of Locals - no one else has discovered this wonderful Brewery yet. We stopped by on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in August. Everyone was outside on a small but extremely welcoming and pleasant patio. Food was very limited but excellent quality. Everyone, from the servers to the clients, was happy to be alive on such a wonderful day, at such a wonderful place. six beers on tap. I tried the Pale ale and IPA. Pale ale was nice and bitter with hop forward presence. IPA was good too. Not great, but solid. No Pilsners, which would have been nice for summer. The interior of the Brewery has a tiny setting (seats maybe 35-40 absolute max!) but it is very welcoming - I could see coming here in the winter and having an awesome time as well. |
82 /100 1701 W. MAIN Highly recommended for beer lovers, not so much for beer snobs or those searching for a "scene". Come in the summer if you can. Indoor/outdoor vibe with tables filled and lots of activity on the weekends, with occasional bands. draws all ages. drawback is no food, so you depend on the quality of the food trucks that evening. beer selection is limited to 7 or 8 beers, but is OUTSTANDING quality. as others have mentioned, you will not find better prices in all of the US. Bartenders are very unassuming, attentive, friendly, and love their jobs. no attitudes here. i drive 25 minutes each way to fill growlers and stock up on freshly canned beers. st boniface has a canning device from oscar blues in colorado where they can fill a 32 oz can of any beer you want on the spot. awesome! |
68 /100 Lincoln House (Bar) 1398 W MAIN ST The restaurant part has always been the part I’ve been to. Its always clean. The service has always been friendly. Beers range from local (St Boniface) to even Great Lakes and Sam Adams, its a good selection. The food has always been good. Never a bad time here. I recommend. |
68 /100 1701 W. MAIN Stopped by on a thurs afternoon. Unfortunately it was pretty quiet. Pretty cool exposed beam/industrial vibe. Only about 5-6 beers on tap. Beer was good though and I will always prefer quality over quantity. Prices were stupidly awesome. $10 Growler fills,$6 bombers,
$4 drafts? Fantastic. Would definitely recommend. |
76 /100 1701 W. MAIN We actually went to Lancaster to hit the spring house tap room but that place was jambed and we coudln’t get in on labor day weekend. So, our hotel was in ephrata and this placae was close by so we hit it up instead. This was one of the most unique beer expereinces that I can remember. When we arrived, seemed like any other brewpub from the outside. However, on the way into the place there was this food caterer outside with a trailer cooking food in the trailer. Then we walked into the place and it was a simple stripped down multi port garage with tables and a makeshift bar, crudely constructed. Lots of people in there on a saturday afternoon. This place had a few kids running around and it was loud inside. It reminded me of the festivities you would see at a wedding reception in your local volunteer fire department. I was glad because we called earlier and they said it would be OK for my 3 year old grand daughter to come with us, it was family oriented we were told. For food, you ordered outside at the food trailer and inside you order beers and soda at the bar. Two sepratte bills. Me and 4 ohters had the prime rib for $10, not too bad. We shoved together 2 tables for the 7 of us. No body blinked an eye, it was a one for all and all for one kind of atmosphere. After a while, about 20 people left and the place settled downa little to a crude beer drinken establishemnt. Beers were good and they had 7 on tap. Good overall beer drinken experience for me and the other guys but I’m not too sure what the girls in our group thot. Growlers could be filled for $8, what a deal! If your in the area and its open, stop by to knock some back, you’ll find it unique as well. |
80 /100 1701 W. MAIN A step up from their old location, a start at decor, same great staff and patrons, and of course, really good beer. Samples and growler fills, and now glasses and food, too! Can’t wait to see what they do next! |
68 /100 Lincoln House (Bar) 1398 W MAIN ST Nice little local pub, nothing to brag about (beer-wise). A couple of locals, an occasional craft beer, decent food. Convenient watering hole to our fire company. |
90 /100 1701 W. MAIN Great service, knowledgeable staff, magnificent beers. Selection can be limited and atmosphere is not really terrific. Overall though great beer, very friendly folks, and even better value. Libation is one of the best double IPA’s I have ever had and Hegemony is a hard to beat stout. |
