68 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE I agree with Mike’s sentiment that this is a Whole Foods Clone, but I would like to add that it is a LARGER Whole Foods clone. The selection is a bit larger for everything including beer, and beer singles. I saw a couple I was willing to buy if I lived nearby. Some locals. Some Belgians. Excellent food and cheese and olive selection. Go for the food, or the tick, but not the beer. |
70 /100 Healdsburg Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 245 HEALDSBURG AVE A solid back up plan for before or after a BEAR visit. Basic bar food mostly, but done well. Inviting and friendly service. |
68 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE some decent finds here on a couple visits. definitely agree w the whole foods comparisons. |
82 /100 Healdsburg Cigar and Beverage Emporium (Beer Store) 210 HEALDSBURG AVE Best place in Healdsburg for certain. They’ve got cigars as well. May find some gems but don’t expect unrealistic rares. Looking forward to the expansion. |
76 /100 Bergamot Alley (Bar) 328 HEALDSBURG AVE A fun place in Healdsburg to hang out and have a beer. Nothing outlandish or beer geeky on the beer menu but the selections are good and definitely not mainstream. Very good service and pleasant place to spend time. |
90 /100 Healdsburg Cigar and Beverage Emporium (Beer Store) 210 HEALDSBURG AVE This is the best place in Healdsburg to find great craft brews. Watch the Facebook page because they do make special offers to those that follow their page on occasion. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. |
76 /100 Healdsburg Cigar and Beverage Emporium (Beer Store) 210 HEALDSBURG AVE A quaint little shop owned and run by a few young guys who like beer and cigars. Selection has a mix of everything and you are likely to find some of the beers other places are sold out of. Prices are high, but they have qty discounts that bring them to a reasonable level. Blocks away from Bear Republic and worth a gander. |
72 /100 Healdsburg Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 245 HEALDSBURG AVE Just around the corner from The Wurst. Small bar and restaurant with a handful of taps serving mostly local beer. Kind of dimly lit. Though the inside isn’t huge, they have a lot of patio space which would probably be great during a nice sunny day. Lots of bar food staples like burgers and wings, but some fancied french fries and such available, too. Beer list wasn’t jaw dropping, but it’s good enough to find something to have with your meal. Kind of turned off by the obvious fake reviews posted for this place, though. |
72 /100 The Wurst Sausage Grill, Burgers and Beer (Restaurant) 22 MATHESON ST Down the street from Bear Republic. A nice patio area outside, though not too many folks sitting out there on a late December evening. Like a lot of other places in this vein, order everything at the counter. Lots of different sausage options running about $6-7. Beer selection is limited, maybe a half dozen taps with a Moonlight beer, 101 North, Marin, North Coast, and Racer 5 offered. All beers were $5, which is nice. Cool place to grab a quick bite, though not the same diversity of selection as some place like Rosamunde. |
74 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE Great market, seemingly imitating Whole Foods, with a solid bottle selection. Prices are very reasonable, with some Russian River bottles even cheaper than at the brewery, surprisingly. Definitely worth a stop before or after visiting Bear Republic. |
64 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE Basically a whole foods clone, with middle of the road whole foods like beer selection. |
68 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE A great market in general with a better than average beer selection. |
72 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE Nice grocery store with a small, albeit nice beer selection. Service was good. The selection of beer was good, like others have said they had a few things the Bottle Barn didn’t. Prices were decent. Not a bad place to stop if in the area, especial for the grocery store. |
96 /100 The Wurst Sausage Grill, Burgers and Beer (Restaurant) 22 MATHESON ST Great local hang-out. Relaxed. Kid and dog friendly. Delicious beer selection and fantastic sausages and burgers. Garlic fries and sweet potato fries are the best! Trivia Night every month/third Thursday. |
100 /100 Healdsburg Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 245 HEALDSBURG AVE The only place worth going for a good beer in Healdsburg! Plus the food is excellent! |
80 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE They used to have oil cans of Labbatt and that was ok by me. Let’s see some more Canadian beer in here. You know that stuff is like moonshine! |
100 /100 Healdsburg Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 245 HEALDSBURG AVE Definitely a stop for me in Healdsburg great Beer selection. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. Only drawback is no Keystone Light! The food Makes up for that though. Try the burger, I did. |
100 /100 Healdsburg Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 245 HEALDSBURG AVE Great beer, great food and sports on six t.v.’s |
68 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE This seemed to have a few things that Bottle Barn may not albeit a much smaller selection. Still very respectable array. Good little place to pick up a gourmet sandwich, cheese and baguette kind of place. Whole Foodsy. Good value too. Prices are definitely good. |
52 /100 Big John’s Market (Grocery Store) 1345 HEALDSBURG AVE Probably the best beer selection in 20 or more miles - except for Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa. Looking for good beer in Healdsburg area - just go here. It’s something of a Whole Foods operation. Picked up Widmer W’09 here before seeing it anywhere else. |
