“Surprisingly smallish brewpub in Hilton Head. Just a small outdoor patio and the indoor seating was small as well. TVs indoor and out. A pretty large selection of taps, maybe around 10. Wide array of styles too, ie barrel aged weizenbock. Beers were solid, maybe not the best, but certainly worth a trip. I believe they have food but I didn’t order any.“

“Awesome brewery in Hilton Head. Indoor and outdoor seating, some games (connect four, tic tac toe, uno). No TVs. Bartender was very friendly. They had about 10 taps. 2 Pilseners, 4 NE hazy IIPAs. They also had a guest tap. Beer was excellent (got a few 4 pack cans to take home). They do offer a small menu of snacks. Really good beer and nice ambiance, chill and relaxing.“

“First stop in Hilton Head Island, located in a space at the end commercial spaced building. I had to illegally park as there wasn't any obvious place to park, wasn't worried as all the tables were taken up and wasn't really kid friendly otherwise. Very helpful staff and recommended some great beers to take away. All the beer I had were solid. Additionally, it sounds like Side Hustle and Lincoln & South have a great friendship as staff recommended going there as I mentioned I was looking for local beer. (I had already planned on it)“

“My second stop on Hilton Head Island, nice spacious parking with plenty of space as standalone location. They have a huge selection of taps to include a few guest taps, but NO FLIGTS. The one server didn't seem very pleasant as I originally didn't see that they don't do flights. It's literally in the bottom of one of the middle tap listings on the board. Grabbed a solid sour beer, guest cider and growler to go. Definitely a must stop, but have a plan because you are getting full pours.“

“Last stop for beer in Hilton Head Island as we had the kids and knew they could grab some grub here. This is in a smaller strip mall like business front. There isn't much parking space, but we got lucky. Taproom staff was friendly and helpful when choosing what to try. I grabbed a flight; all beer were good. We got the chicken dip and some pretzels; this was perfect and none of us left on empty stomach. I would say beer wise of the three breweries it was below them, but still worth a stop.“

“L&S is tucked away in a commercial area off the main drag. The bar is nice, an inviting space with a patio out back and some tables inside. There are 20 taps with pretty good variety - hazy IPAs, sours, a couple stouts/porters, and more. There seems to be some kind of Vermont influence here, maybe someone relocated or has relationships up there because there was a Foam collab on tap at the time along with a lot of Vermont-themed signage/decor. The beer quality is excellent, just as surprising as Side Hustle, given that this is a tourist island I don't associate with great beer. But if you're on the island, this is one of the two places to absolutely visit.“

“Side Hustle occupies a small space in a commercial-industrial block of Hilton Head Island. They have a tiny taproom with some tables out on the patio. There are 12 taps and most things on the menu are available in cans. The beer quality is excellent - which surprised me, as my experience in tourist towns is that they mostly don't have great beer. IPAs seem to be the speciality here, with some other stuff, as well - pilsner, a few sours, a big stout, couple other things. They serve in plastic cups because of space/bar limitations but everything still came off great. There are three breweries on the island, two worth visiting one or more times, and this is one of those. Great beer.“

“HHBC is located in a small shopping center near the airport on Hilton Head Island. It's a good use of limited space, with the operation in back behind the bar, a small bar area with a few tables, and a patio that goes out into the parking lot out front. There are 16 taps with pretty good variety, but the quality is pretty average - about as expected for a legacy craft brewery on a tourist island. Service is friendly. There are a few food options, but not enough to call it a brewpub. The place is kid friendly, and the patio is dog friendly, too. Prices are fair. There are three breweries on the island and this is one of them.“

“Weren't a lot of options available on Hilton Head late at night, but HH brewery was open and available. Great service and decent beer. Large heated outdoor patio open, with some TVs. Medium sized interior space. Visited with Jess in Nov 2021 during our trip to Savannah.“

“Had dinner here with my family out on the patio. The place itself has been known to me primarily as a faded long-sleeved t-shirt that high school kids in Ohio wear, so it was interesting to actually go there and satisfy a curiosity. It's about as expected - a massive deck/patio area with umbrellas and a central octagon bar, and a beach shack-style indoor area. It's well staffed and seemingly always busy, or at least lively. This is not a good beer destination, but they do have three exclusive house beers brewed by River Dog that they serve in souvenir tin cups. They're okay. They also have a normal list of everyday domestics and a few specials at any given time that might include things like Two Hearted or a Wicked Weed seasonal can. The food is decent but slightly overpriced, basically like everything else on the island. The service was good. I guess this place is legendary and you may end up here on a vacation, so you might as well get something you can't get elsewhere.“

“This is one of three Rollers locations on the island and reportedly the best for beer. The beer is tucked away in the back left corner from where you walk in, behind the wine and cheese area. The store itself is high-end, not your typical liquor store, and had formal wine tastings going on when I was there. The beer area is a little crammed, with a large focus on the 16 oz. can format. They can be split into singles. The beer area is not super organized for an overall nicer store, but they seem to be catering to wine and spirits buyers. Prices are pretty high.“

“Free big dedicated parking lot. Really nice outdoor covered dining area in addition to the indoor space. Service was good. I got the mighty meaty pizza as usually and throughly enjoyed it. Pretty decent selection of beer for the area, both bottle/can and tap. Beer prices are high, like many places on the island. I would come back for sure.“

“Parking was pretty easy, however on a Wednesday afternoon. Standard WOB atmosphere, however the floor was sticky. Service was below average. Online showed three beers of interest. The bartender did not know if they had the three beers. She looked around and could not find any of them. I pointed one of them out to her. She had difficulty ringing the beer up at first. She got help from another bartender. Then the beer rang up for $8. I saw a four-pack of the same beer at Whole Foods in the same complex for $10. The pricing here is stupid high. I would not go here unless you were pretty desperate.“

“This place must have really come around because for my visit they had 12 taps and trendy well-made ne-style ipas were the feature. They also had a decent tmavy. The service was great, the large flight was reasonable, no complaints. SMall biergarten out front“

“Have visited a few times while visiting Hilton Head Island for gigs. Standard World of Beer but a touch nicer than some. Well lit, clean place. Average service - some know about the beers, some are just chesty girls. Good selection, as it is a World of Beer. Even if you don’t dig the corporate feel, you can count on them to plow through beers, including local and regional ones. Standard WoB food and prices. I will be back when I visit HHI, but will also hit up The Lodge.“

“Nice place, nice menu, friendly service. Open air seating. Cask ales. In Shelter Cove outdoor mall. UPDATE....service is spotty. I went back two days later and sat down and and an over friendly, as in fake and overbearing, bartender came over. I got two samples and picked one. She then went to someone else, got their order went to second person and got a food order. Returned to him and went to get beer that was out and went to correct that going to a clipboard twice. Got his beer then disappeared in back. Returned and talked to guy, than another sitting 4 stools away. A second couple walked in a bit ago and was also totally ignored. After a bit more a walked out leaving two sample glasses in well.“

“A great fresh seafood restaurant with a decent indoor bar and great outdoor bar. The20 or so beers on tap range from Miller lite to some decent IPAs and regional brews. Another 20 bottles gives you a broader selection, but this is really a restaurant that specializes in frozen drinks, beach drinks, cocktails, and common man brews with a few notables.“

“I had been here before, but this experience was one of the worst I have had. Six beers on tap were all average at best with some being not very good. The food that out group received was decent enough, but each check in the group had at least one item that never came out even though we were the only group on the outside patio for 30 minutes when we came in and we were there for over 2 hours, and the inside was not close to being full. Our waiter was clueless to the problems going on and management wasn’t much better. The original bill I received had one of the items we didn’t get still on the bill with no additional refunds for the problems. The second bill had the item removed but no additional refunds. If I would ever be ready to walk on the entire bill this wold have been it, but some members of our group had already given their cards. I always pay for things like this in cash just in case this happens. This was the first time I have even considered it. In the end, most of the bills were reduced by about 40% which I thought was strange but they were probably keeping 10% holdback for the waiter because they were not expecting a tip. I would encourage people to go anywhere else if they want food and only a quick stop if you want to tick beers. This complex has much better food (One Hot Mama’s) and much better beer (The Lodge).“

“Visited for lunch on a Wednesday. Located near the Harris Teeter just south of the Sea Pines Circle. I was on a bike, and had to wander around a bit to locate it. Setup is a large open bar to the right, restaurant and patio seating to the left. Beer selection is 35 taps, 5 of which are localish and a bunch of bottles. Nothing crazy, but a bunch of interesting beers to try. Food menu is pizza and sandwiches. Service was prompt and attentive, seemed a bit light on beer knowledge. Overall, I enjoyed my Green Flash IPA and Calzone.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited midday on a Wednesday. Easy to locate on the main drag of Hilton Head. Bigger specialty food store, compared with the nearby Whole Foods, the beer selection is a bit better particularly for local beers, though the single selection is worse, and just mix a six. Worth hitting up the beer section if you are already here food shopping.

64 = ★★ (Just ok)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited midday on a Wednesday. Easy to locate on the main drag of Hilton Head. Overall, a small store by Whole Foods standards. Beer selection is decent regional offerings, decent single availability and a growler station that features 4 drafts that were listed as local craft, but were 2 Dogfish Head and 2 Southbound beers. By the glass is available as well. Worth checking out the beer if you are here anyway. In terms of growler options, better off hitting The Lodge.

64 = ★★ (Just ok)

“Well, since my group was early drinkers (most places didn’t seem to open until 4) Mellow Mushroom was the best place going. I thought this was going to be a typical Mellow, but surprisingly the tap selection was double most and they had some delightful brews on tap. Drank myself silly with Sucks. Actually went back two days in a row via bike. Upper crust Mellow Mushroom. It did lack local selections though...“

“Great local place. Lots of local craft on tap. Also lots of New Belgium which may or may not be good. You can spend $5 for a beer or $10 just depending. Some of the local stuff is overpriced. “Visited early afternoon on a Thursday. The beer side of the store was pretty cramped and dusty, with national craft beers scattered throughout, and several doors of cold beer. “I visited again in June 2020. They have relocated to more of a light industrial area on the other end of the Island. More beers on offer now with a nice patio. The people here are super nice. Food now is BBQ, which should be a nice upgrade over the past menu. Visited a bit before noon on a Thursday for the sampler and an appetizer. The interior is wood paneling, and a bit worn. Large bar, with tables spread throughout. Also a nice large patio. Game room had foosball and pool. Out front, there was a board listing the beer and freshness details of all the beers, which was a nice touch. All 5 beers I sampled were clean, though somewhat restrained in their flavors. The appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip) may possibly be the worst version of the app that I have ever had. The service was attentive, though didn’t go out of their way to talk about the beers. Certainly a tourist spot. 64 = ★★ (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

Service was very good friendly bar staff very clean. From the menu most of the beers are stable except for 4 or 5 of the taps that rotate to different beers. They serve all of their craft beer in New Belgium chalacises. Would diffinately stop by again.“

“As for the selection, I gave it a 3 - one for each beer available. It’s a neat bar, but that was about it. My wife of 3 days had a summer ale. It was kind of odd. Almost a hefeweizen banana note at the start with a small malt back end. I had an IPA which was unbalanced. I’m glad I went, but I wouldn’t return.“

Honestly on Hilton Head expect to need to travel to two or three different stores to get an overall good selections. If you’re looking for more French varieties go here. For barely wines, stouts, and Belgians try some of the other shops around. Just depends on what you are looking for.“
