“One of the smallest BCLs, with a selection limited to bottom tier BC breweries, like Mariner, Deep Cove, Dead Frog...“

“In terms of interior design, I'm not fully convinced by the semi-industrial feel; the drinking area is half of a warehouse, with full view on the other half, being the brewhouse; the beers were not a reason to come back. We ate there, it was quite good, and I appreciate that they do things that are a bit different than other breweries (not the flatbread though, that's horrible).“

“Finally there's a brewery in Hope to break up the drive from Vancouver to Okanagan, or vice versa. Big, long warehouse interior with lots of seating, and plenty of outside patio seating. They had maybe 10 beers on tap, with flights of 4 for $10 plus tax. The beers were not great quality for the most part. Other than a drinkable fruited kettle sour, everything else I had was not dialed in well. They have a ways to come. Worth stopping the once when passing through but don't expect much.“

“A good 1 minute off the highway turnoff, a large purpose built brewery with your usual minimalist interior - benches, concrete, the usual. Service was fast, flights are available and a rotating selection in cans and some seasonals on tap. Prices were quite reasonable, most beers were much better than I expected including a standout pilsner. Definitely worth a stop when passing through.“

“Nice big place, right off the 1/3/5, so very handy for anybody passing through Hope, which is a lot of people. Big place, very high ceiling. They only have a few house beers, and a bunch of guests, on my first visit just a few days after opening. That said, they have capacity and lines to run many more house beers than that, so I expect that they will. Not sure what their food plans are, but the menu is limited as present, indicative of not having a kitchen. For me, going between Kelowna and Vancouver on the regular, I would definitely want a kitchen. It'll be hard to knock Field House off of the "one mandatory stop" mantle, but Mountainview has a great location and a good kitchen would help their cause a lot. So lots of promise and I sincerely hope they are committed to improving.“
