“This is a traditional village pub in iron-stone country just north of Banbury. Restricted opening to mostly evenings but well worth seeking out. It is the centre of village activities, friendly and welcoming. Well kept beers but a rather unchanging range, visitors to the area may pick up something from here though.“

“After a late arrival to the nearby Gatwick Airport we stayed overnight in a B&B in Horley and had breakfast here before taking the train to London. This medium-sized place is located close to the train station and has a long servery bar offering 10 cask ales with try before you buy options. At least three of the cask ales are rotating. Outdoor seating. A rather well-kept, decent spoons. The classic British breakfast with black coffee and orange juice followed by two real ales were just what we needed at the time. Friendly service. Good value. (Visited with Magne, Per and Leif 10.01.2019).“

“Fairly nice JDW pub near Horley train station. I visited in the morning, they open at 08:00 a.m. I had eaten breakfast before I arrived, but this seems to be a fine place to have breakfast. A few cask ales and bottles should be enough to keep you entertained for a while.“

“A fairly meh Wetherspoons near Gatwick Airport. Real ale selection below par, but the taps/craft bottles make up for it. People seem happy here, good vibe. Horley has a decent boozer at last!“

“A large, open JDW, very loud. Feels rather modern and tacky with the slot machines out in the open. Alright service, decent selection, about eight ales on cask with at least half reserved for guests. Food is well, chain stuff. Ales in good condition though.“

“Large ground floor open plan Wetherspoon with a a diagonal bar at the back in relation to its front. It’s also a Lloyds Bar to attract a weekend party crowd, but it’s just as handy a place to have a drink if you are traveling by train given its close proximity to the station. Inside the decor is plus opting for a darker wooden furniture style complimented by some low lighting. There’s a lovely double fireplace in the only brick pillar to adorn the central floor area, which is right next to the DJ booth. Ales are on a choice at two rows of pumps. There’s a fair bit of room between the front of the building and the road so a makeshift patio area is cordoned off as long as the weather allows.“
