70 /100 Bahnhove (Bar) KAPELSTRAAT 117 Very near the trainstation , you find this cosy bar with friendly staff . Prices are def decent , and so is service . Bit dissapointed by the beerlist though . Everyone raves about this place ( in real life , not rb) yet it is very small with only 1 or 2 unusual beers .
Some of the offered beers are nice classics though ( duvel tripel hop , gouden carolus classic , troubadour magma ,..) but since those are founded easely , its a bit alien to me that people take the train only to come here .,..
Than again , if you live in Hove , or have to take another train here ( when the fuck does that happen ????) its def worth a visit . |
76 /100 Bahnhove (Bar) KAPELSTRAAT 117 This old trainstation makes for an excellent of beat beer destination when located in Antwerp, Mechelen or Brussels. just take the train, drink and go back again! A very nice selection combined with a good athmosphere makes this bar a good alternative to the better known names. check it out! |
82 /100 Bahnhove (Bar) KAPELSTRAAT 117 Located directly besides the Hove train station – like directly at the tracks pretty much but the trains don’t bother you noise wise. There is a nice terrace outside where you can sit. Located nowhere anything big, the place has its nice share of locals – well pretty much only locals. Not sure what it is about the place but I really like sitting outside here late at night. Feels hidden & quite private & personal for some reason. Does cater a much nicer list of beers than you might expect. They stock up on the trappists, stuff like Chouffe, Hopus, Troubadour, Lupulus but they also try to offer something special as well usually. These beers vary but can include stuff like Kempisch Vuur, Triporteur from Heaven, ‘t Nest & Scheldebrouwers beers,… Usually I can find something new. Prices are very good, no special surplus or anything. If you are ever in the neighborhood or have time & feel like getting of at this stop & grabbing some beers before heading of to Brussels or Antwerp depending on which direction you were going to. ///////////// Visited again, sat inside on Friday evening, place was totally packed with locals but things were fun. If anything it added to the whole thing, making it feel authentic, got a new tick which is something I didn’t expect. Drank some “Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel” which has been a while, still recommended to check out this place if you are in the neighbourhood. |
