“They don't make food but you can bring your own. Sometimes loud and can be hard to get service. Despite that, as far as the beer is concerned, this is the best brewpub around, by far - in terms of the selection and quality of their beer. A beer destination!“

“Great selection of rotating beers. Give samples. Food not as good as the beer but with 80 taps I am pleased and would recommend to a beer enthusiast!“

“This place is awesome! They let you bring your own food while focusing instead on making great beer. Every beer we tasted was top notch. If you forgot to bring food they do sell some pretty good cheese plates.“

“I finally got a chance to visit this place recently. I am very impressed. Nice large comfy space with a long L-shaped bar. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Had a solid array of about 8-9 beers on tap. Something for everyone from maltys to super hopheads. Got a flight of four. All were top quality. Loved the Ghost Lantern Baltic Porter and the Zweihander Imperial IPA the most. Left with two growlers filled by their automated filler (this is how all growlers should be filled!). Very reasonable prices too. No food served here (BYOF). I’ll definitely be back!“

“Long 30ft bar is nice to sit at and enjoy the brick oven pizza this place churns out, the stone oven is right in the middle of the restaurant and you can watch them make pies. Place gets crowded theres no denying that. decent things on tap, and reasonable prices for a high end pizza join (pints range from 5 to 10 dollars) no samplers, some of the bartenders are willing to talk beer, and will give tiny tastes to people if you ask. There is no parking as its on the town square, but street parking was not horribly difficult to find. Really the only place worth stopping in Hudson.“

“Was good to tell my friend who’d lived near here for a year about this place. Visiting from Oregon, i was impressed by the tap selection, largely from nearby. also nice to see some west coast favorites. Came here twice, once int he bar, another showing me how large the place is. While the service very good upstairs, reslly appreciated the personality of the female bartender. Irish reuben tssty and meaty, the burger nicely pink in the middle and hard to get my mouth around (which is good.)“

“Best beer selection in MetroWest area with excellent rotation of all types. Bartenders are knowledgeable of the beers and very friendly. A bit loud at times (could be the copius beer consumption?)... Outdoor seating is nice too. Food is good, burgers are very good. Bathrooms could stand an upgrade... tough to imagine single toilet bathrooms in a beer joint!?! Did I say the beer selection is EXCELLENT?“

“Greatest place for a beer between 128 and 495. Clean bar with a great rotating selection of about 100 beers, although the cask choices usually disappoint. They have two beer machines, but rarely have both loaded, and like to focus in IPAs on cask, which I am not a huge fan of. The food is pretty good, outstanding value for sure. This place goes all out for Oktoberfest with an additional German menu. The owner is cool, showed me the beer fridge directly behind the tap wall, and hung out for a bit. He loves beer and his son pushed him to branch out into all kinds of micros. Try the double baked wings, soo delicious!“

“Great selection of beers. Also has a nice family dining area. I haven’t been to one of their beer dinners, but they sound very good.“

“Good local and domestic beer selection- the best I have found in the area. Imports are kind of scarce, though. They have a broad wine selection as well. Prices are typical Massachusetts (which is to say on the high side)“

“Very nice local place. Hopping on a Monday night with families for dinner on one side and seemingly adventerous beer drinkers in the bar. Low ceiling, wooden and comfortable. Food is typical American pub food, but the wings were pretty great. Beer selection was very impressive, especially coming from the west coast. Found some special and rare pints and many interesting locals, both special (rare, seasonal, cask) and solid favorites. Will return anytime in the area.“

“Nice wooden place. Good size bar so people can eat there, a few tables in the bar area and other tables in the dining area all in the same restaurant. Tons of taps and stuff I don’t see in NY. Great food, we had some burgers and I recommend it. I am a burger guy and it was good. Not very Yankee fan friendly but what place is in Mass. Lots of local taps which was great for me, I love the local stuff. No problem getting some samples and everyone was very friendly.“

“Great selection of New England brews. Very decent selection of other national micros and belgians. Service is great and store is huge. Incredible selection of wine too. The reason I have food at a 10 is because Brad’s Deli is next door. He has great sandwiches and sides and it connects to the store. Definitely hit up both.“

“Great small town atmosphere. Ample area in the bar. Of course, huge selection of draughts which is the best part. Mostly local New England brews but some other regions as well. Great parking which you never have to worry about. Great and friendly service with pretty decent food and fair sized menu. Outdoor seating area is nice as well. Definitely one of the better places to find a good brew in the area.“

“Great selection of regional micros on tap! Best place I know of to try New England’s regional best. If only NE produced better beers, though... My favorite NE beers have almost always been at random, little-or-no outside distribution brewpubs, like People’s Pint, The Tap, Barrington, Gritty’s, McNeill’s, etc. Horseshoe features many from the likes of Wachusett and Berkshire, which have never done much for me. Great beer bar for drafts - small bottle selection. Small but well-chosen Belgian selection. Food is typical pub fare - good but not outstanding and wonderfully filling. Good place to see what’s brewing in the New England craft-beer scene!“

“Bar/restaurant type atmosphere. A wall full of taps. All beers seem to be fresh and the lines are clean. Very good service at the bar. Small samples are available for free. Sampler trays are also available and are your choice. Chimay White, Lindeman’s Framboise, and several other Belgians on tap. A nice place. Too bad it was so far away.“

“Fairly large selection of beers on tap. Plenty of local and New England brews not typically found at other bars, Belgians, bitters, no macroswill. Bottle selection is more limited, but the tap options make up for it. Good variety of better than average pub food selections, reasonable prices all around. Ambience is a little stale, at least in the upstairs bar area where I sat, but not a big detraction. Worth a trip if you’re in the area.“

“Renovation is coming along, though its going to lose its small pub charm. Good people. Lots of good New England choises. Food is ok at best, Stay away from the popcorn shrimp almost all batter, tiny shrimp.Burgers and sandwiches good. Specials can be good. Will update when finished. 09/30/04 I’ve been told TV’s are up in the bar area.02/06/05. Things are just about done, though I notice the area behind the bar has a few unfinished things.“

“Very easy to get to and park. Beer, well what can I say, 50 beers on tap. Huge selection and interestingly, no Bud or Coors on tap. The food is ok, but you don't go for the food.“
