76 /100 59 MAIN ST. E. 2023-12-29. Good sized space. 16 taps in a range of styles. Double BLT with peameal and bacon was very good. Came with an odd ketchup that I am still not sure if it was intentional or not - had an almost tomato paste like quality. Mac and cheese was not great - mostly just bechamel and not enough cheese (which in fairness is a common problem for pub mac and cheese). Lots of wood in the decor, mix of low and high tables. Long bar. Christmas decorations are a nice touch and add to the vaguely log cabiny coziness. Overall just okay but I would come back, and it is worth a visit if you are in town. Beers were better than I expected to be honest - the four we tried today were all serviceable to good even where not entirely to my own taste. Good selection of cans and bottles to go as well - I was tempted by some of the special barrel aged brews but the price points were a bit steep, at least for me to roll the dice on untried beers today.

80 /100 59 MAIN ST. E. Stopped in for supper on a Wednesday ight with my wife and 5 year old. Basement location, with about 100 seats. All the lake of bays regulars are on tap with a few guest taps and they had 5 of their own Brewhouse exclusive brews which was cool. Had a 5 glass flight of the exclusives, nothing mind blowing but some interesting styles. Very welcoming for. Kids, they a drawing for her to color and the walls of the facility were covered in drawings of past guests. The food is all locally sourced, nothing is frozen, and when they run out for the night of a dish, they run out. Food was made to order and spectacular. The burger is obviously fresh and the bun is made from the brewing process spent grain. My pasta dish was excellent and my daughter raved about the fish.. Free samplea of all the beers on tap are available as well as all the lake of bays Staple beers and growler fills. I came in with low expectations and was blown away.. Great place! |
