“Immediately on the south side of the imposing A14 bridge crossing the Orwell, this farmers style market in a large hut with views across the estuary has bottles and a few cans from local Suffolk microbrewers with quite a high mark-up.“

“Upmarket farm shop type affair. More specifically it seems to have improved its beer range when compared to the prior review..When I got to the booze I was first confronted by a display of St Peters beers, followed by Adnams an Anstells. However on getting close they had beers from various East Anglian breweries including Bruha, Colchester, St Nick and Star Wing. Friendly staff.“

“Really nice place to visit for food but not really a beer destination in its own right. Bottles dominated by Adnams and St.Peter’s plus a number from Green Jack but otherwise not much to get excited about. Do have a few intriguing bottles from Wild Beer and a range from Aspell’s. My recollection from previous visits was it had a wider range of brewers. By Ipswich bottle shop standards it’s good though, but mainly due to a distinct lack of alternatives.“

“Big modern purpose-built foodies venue located almost under the stunning A14 Orwell bridge south of Ipswich. Outside there’s farm animals, a kids playground (with a huge "jumping pillow" - there was a sprog doing astounding gymnastics on it whilst we were there), an ice cream hut and splendid views of the aforementioned bridge. Inside there’s a fancy restaurant, a home & garden section, a cookery school and (ahem) a "wellbeing" centre. It is, of course, the food hall that is the main focus here though. It’s fairly huge, and contains an excellent butchers (you’ve seriously got to try their amzing ale-cured bacon), a Charbonnel & Walker concession, loads of local food and - of course - a decent selection of beer from a range of Suffolk brewers. If you’re only interested in the beer, then it’s worth popping in if your passing. If, like me, you love trying new and good food too then this is worth travelling a bit for. And of course, if there aren’t too many kids on it, you might be able to sneak a go on that jumping pillow too...“
