“Jelsa is a small town with about 250 inhabitants. But, here is a cidery nearby, the largest quarry in Europe and a hotel. The reason why we visited Jelsa Hotell is that this is one of few places to try draught beer from Mo Laksegard. Not famous for quality beers but hard to get! The hotel opened in 2022 and I guess it is run by the same people who owns Mo Laksegard. Friendly service and local ciders available in bottles. The main problem is that the single tap with beer from Mo Laksegard has no information at all! The man in the bar did not know anything about name and ABV. The brewer do not provide any information at all. I sendt him a SMS but he never answered... (Visited June 24th 2023 with Nilsas)“

“The latest cidery in Rogaland (June 2023) Jelsa is a rural community I have never visited before. A new cidery finally lured me to Jelsa! Fuglestein is a nice farm surrounded by apple trees. Very friendly and talkative service and three brand new ciders available in 75 cl bottles. There was still a lot of work to do with the old barn where the cidery is situated. Looking forward to revisit next year. (Visited June 24th 2023 with Nilsas)“

“Jelsa Hotell is placed in beautiful surroundings with nice view of "downtown" Jelsa. This is a hotel, but about the only place where you get served beer from Mo Laksegard Gardsbryggeri. They had when we visited 4 taps and about 15 bottles. One tap was dedicated Mo Laksegard. Bottle's was mainly Local breweries/Cideries. Worth a visit and nice stayover facilities with nice outdoor balcony to enjoy your drinks and food. Visited 24.06.2023 with Bryne.“

“The cidery can be hard to find, but in in nice area in Jelsa, Ryfylke. The personnel was nice and helpful telling stories about he farm and the Ciders. They currently had 3 different ciders when we visited, part from that they had a self serviced kiosk by the road with juice, egg and some meat. Worth visiting if youre in the area. “Cidery, located by the narrow road between Erfjord and Foreneset / Jelsa. There is a self-service kiosk with apple-juice, eggs and meat down by he road, but you have to drive up to the farm to get cider. 3 different ciders available. Very friendly owners.“
