“Family trip to coastal Maine. Lively restaurant in a Friday. Patio was quite nice over looking river. Handful of brews available had one and it was ok. Service was friendly but food served too quick actually. Quite tasty though and a nice spot.“

“Fish and Chips with fries and coleslaw. Nice haddock fillet. The dish could have used a wedge of lemon to cut the heaviness of the fried fish. The servis was good. The beer was very good.“

“Stayed a few nights just a few blocks away from here so I had to stop by. Big bonus was dogs allowed on the Patio and I was traveling with my dog. Average beers and did not order food. Went in mid-afternoon and the server for the patio seemed way too busy ... the hostess finally got me some beer and followed up with me. But enjoyed the people watching and sitting out with my dog. No samplers ...“

“I braved the summer tourist traffic to stop at this place while staying in nearby Saco. Luckily they have valet parking, otherwise you have to park in the next door and walk on jam packed roads with no sidewalks. I sat at a railing outside overlooking the bay, nice even on a foggy muggy day. Food was tasty enough but portions small and prices high. Beers were safe. Service was a bit rushed, geared up for table turnover I suppose. Nice views but only if you're nearby.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch/early happy hour. The bar is upstairs, cool view of the water. Big bar area, plenty of table seating also. Our server knew what beers were on tap, but nothing much other than that. Had a snack, still had a couple of other stops. Downstairs had a brewery and a gift shop, so plenty to see. Worth a stop if in the area.“

“Large bar with a terrace outside above the store for Shipyard brewery, stating to be the birthplace of Shipyard. Nice view of harbor, eleven of their beers on tab, pub food menu, flights available. The beers are mediocre, feels like a tourist trap.“

“Very friendly service and a nice view of the harbor. You can tick about 12 beers, but they all taste the same and are pretty boring. I wouldn’t recommend the full sampler. The food is bad.“

“Better than average for bar food, good service and a moderate selection of beer. Probably 4-5 craft brews on tap alongside the usual piss beer.“

“Well, I feel obligated to say something on this place as its got some great food here. The beers aren’t bad, perhaps nothing to go bonkers about, but the service was always good. As far as I know, all of the standard Shipyard and KBC beers are there. Its pretty clean and well serviceable but almost every time I’ve been there, the waiters and waitresses have had a lack of knowledge of beers. If one is going to have a brewpub, try not to hire people who are going to recommend wine over beer with food. It just shows plain stupidity.“

“This is a lovely setting right on the water with a deck overlooking the lagoon area as well as interior seating. Off street parking. You can get all of the standard Shipyard and Kennebunk Brewing Company beers there as well as a few brewery-only beers. They do provide tasting samplers up to 13 five ounce glasses. The menus has a variety of seafood, sandwich, meat choices. This is a big tourist area for Maine so expect to pay a little more. Nice gift shop. While the service is friendly, I like to ask the staff about the in-house beers and the brewing process and my waiter did not seem too inclined to discuss any of that with me. I recommend going during the off-season to avoid the traffic.“

“I like Federal Jacks. It is right on the water, has nice ambiance, and really good seafood. Good lunch or dinner stop after a day in Kennebunort.“

“Nice location with river view. Service was good, busy place. Limited beer selection. Only had time for one so selected the Taint Town Pale Ale, which was just OK. Wish I had more time for this visit.“

“I added this place for beer hunters in the Kennebunk area. Despite a website that only lists Cherie’s baked offerings, Cherie’s is a bistro with excellent food and a good selection of Maine and other beers. I’ve found Evil Twin, Mikkeller, Rising Tide, Maine Beer Co., and many other craft beers there. They also periodically host tastings.“

“We had very good service, sat outside overlooking the harbor. Beer was good and so was the food, someone did screw up my order of a IPA, I got a brown ale instead, but it’s all good“

“great location, OK beer, food was average. Mainly Shipyard beers, with a couple of house beers. Decent chowder & Lobster Roll. Avoid the Pot Roast sandwich“

“Visited this past weekend. Had lunch and beers on their deck. Never even went inside, so can’t say much about the decor. The deck was nice, but next time I’ll wait for a table in the shade. Service was decent. They were busy. Food was good and I thought reasonably priced. Beer selection was just okay. It is mostly Shipyard, although I had the Kennebunkport Taint Town Pale Ale. Nice gift shop downstairs where you can get Shipyard beer, glassware & misc souviner type items. I’ll go back.“

“Clean well lit, nice ambiance. Place seemed fairly new. Food was delicious and moderately priced. Waitress was attentive and friendly. All of Sebago’s regular beers on tap, but alas, no "special" releases. Last, but not least, restrooms were clean with no graffiti. Nice place.“

“Had lunch here, and visited the store downstairs, where you can buy bottles. Nice place, overlooking the water. Waitstaff had an OK level of knowledge on the beers. Food was decent, but not great, and a tad pricey. Decent brews.“

“My wife and I went here July 2003 during our honeymoon trip to Maine. Federal Jacks is a great relaxing place to have some beer and food. We got a sampler of their beers and enjoyed them all. The food was good, especially the chicken wings. The service was good as well.“

“Diner là, sur la terrasse avec une vue de la rivier Kennebunk. Le diner était assez bon, rien d’original. J’ai bu la seule bière brassé sur place (Taint Town Pale Ale) c’était correct. En général, c’est bien, mais très touristique car on est pas loin des plages.“

“I vacation in Kennebunk 1-2 times a year, and I become a part-time "regular" at Federal Jack’s. Good service, great food, always at least 1 Shipyard beer that’s pouring well, including seasonals like Longfellow Winter and PumpkinHead Ale in fall, plus "old reliable" Old Thumper year-round. Overlooking the river, this is a great place to chill, eat, play some pool and belly up to the bar.“

“Went there on a Sunday. Pretty good service. Decent number of beers, and ones I can’t get at home. Food was downright delicious, and I didn’t eat lobster because I don’t really like it. I also like the fact that you can’t smoke in bars in Maine!!!! Beers are a little on the watery side, but I can forgive a lot when people are nice to me. “

“All their great ales are available, except for one of their best. Joshua Chamberlain Pale ale is brewed only in the Portland location and not available in Kennebunkport. Growlers available downstairs in the gift store. Good food and live bands on selected nights as well. Deck for the summer“

“Had a blast at this place. Missed seeing George H. Bush by about 30 minutes. He was there having a little food and beer with Barbara. The place sitting on the water was awesome this was a picturesque place that is in most books. The harbor with the president house behind it was just so awesome. The beer was very good and the food was to die for. Lobster anywhere in Maine is awesome. The president house is about a 5 minute walk from the brewery. Coincidence I think not.“

“A nicelittle place in the New England area. Views of the harbor, which really wasn’t much, but better than looking at the walls! Food was OK, not a large selection. Good selection of ales, all English style, some brewed at the Shipyard brewery in Portland, not on premises. Had a little vinegar aftertaste, but overall a nice place to visit in New England.“

“I was very impressed with Federal Jacks. The food offerings were delicious. The beer was as fresh and well crafted as English style ales can be. As I sat in the structure of rustic wood and peered out the surrounding picture windows; the view of the harbor in the snowy winter was awe-inspiring. A must stop for a good meal and an English pint. After eating or simply imbibing, there is a nice billiard room for adults and children alike.“
