“Essentially the brewery tap room just over the road from the brewery 12 beers on cask all their own and a mix on keg nice feel to it and prices very reasonable. Also did a mix of any six bottles for ,,£12 takeout“

“Robinsons outpost in Kirkby Lonsdale. About 5 of their beers on from memory, as well as some Old Tom in the fridge. In decent condition. The food was very good and there was decent atmosphere. Very much seemed like a place to dine, rather than a place to drink. We popped in here as it was too late to get lunch in the Orange Tree - could’ve been a lot worse, I can tell you!“

“We missed experiencing the lunch here because we arrived just a little late - looks like they finished at 2. Shouldn’t have gone on such a long walk. The brewery tap effectively of the Kirkby Lonsdale brewery - the brewery is just over the River Lune in Lancashire while the pub is in Cumbria and this caused slight confusion when totalling ratings. Most of the half dozen beers on cask were from the brewery and were solid citizens, mostly being amber in coliour and being session strength. There were a couple of non-KL beers on too. The chap serving the beer was very pleasant and service was good. The beer, while not in the most exciting styles, was in good condition.“

“Popped in well passing. Nice little pub, parked down by the graveyard. They had 4 of there own beers on plus another couple. Bottles of there own beer on sale two. Didn’t stop long but the warm and frendily atmosphere, and I will pop in again.“

“A nice small pub with great cheap food and a huge selection krikby longsdale beers. 6 bottles from the brewery as well as some belgiun beers. 5 thirds for 4gbp is a good deal. The staff are nice but not the sharpest bunch“

“A comfortable local pub with a great range of beers and food that’s hard to beat for value. Kirkby Lonsdale has a lot of pubs and you’d need a while to do them all justice but the Orange Tree would be the place to start. It’s a traditional, homely place with a room either side of the door (one has a pool table) and a restaurant area at the back. They have three Kirkby Lonsdale taps (one of which had a new beer, “Devil’s Bridge”), three guests and a small selection of bottles from Belgium and the USA. Samplers of five beers in third of a pint glasses are available. The pub food is very good and the daily special at £3.25 (fish and chips when we were there on a Friday lunchtime) is a real bargain that would be hard to beat. They also have accommodation and the bar offers a 10% discount for CAMRA members. (Visited 21 October 2011).“
