“Small restaurant in central Klaipeda, under street level. It appears they have a (very nice) patio outside (they're located in a small square), but forced us to be inside. The inside is like an old cellar, with nice arcs. Service was smileless, borderline unpleasant, probably due to the scarce English knowledge of the host. That needs to be improved. He almost seemed to be annoyed by our presence, or by simple requests like ordering our food. Selection on tap was of only two beers (as the host said... "larger" and "dark"). In the fridge, he had something better, including foreign craft beers (e.g. Baladin's Isaac). Food was OK. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back there.“

“Small bar with kitchen in central Klaipeda. We were the only clients when we visited. About 10 beers on tap, from Lithuanian ones to others (e.g. Tanker, from Estonia). Service was carried out with good English. The average quality of beer selection was good. Food was great (my pork ribs were fantastic!). Overall, a nice place to go to in Klaipeda!“

“Nice taproom, with an industrial feeling and very high roof, next to the brewery and the beer shop. Not active now, but I believe they have a terrace on top. Overall, very nice place. Service was OK, with decent English. Selection is a little limited, I'd say. Only their beers are available - which is OK - but without some special ones. When I visit a brewery, I'd like to find on tap some beers that are more rare/difficult to find and not just the basic ones. The average quality of the beers was fairly low. Food was good! Overall, a nice choice in Klaipeda (actually, right next to my hotel), but for more special beers you'll be forced to go somewhere else.“

“I was searching the city for places that served Lithuanian craft ale, this was a good find with a couple of new beers on tap I'd not seen else where. There was a pleasant seating area across the street & they serve food “

“One reason I chose this venue was reading about the great Lithuanian craft beer they have on tap.. I tried a couple of different one's, just what I was after. Another reason was the great selection of different burgers on there menu, unfortunately my 1st choice was not available.. but my 2nd choice, the smoked burger was outstanding. “

“In Klaipeda old town area, not far from river and main street. Modern place with good quality food and 6 taps of Genys beers this place is a must visit in this town. Their only problem is that they do not serve smaller portions than 400ml. Which isn't really a problem 'cause beer was fresh and good. Food was excellent too and portions were huge. Will come back.“

“Probably the same place, but in different location now. It's now in old boat factory area. Hipster area. Large place with huge swing in it. Not many taps maybe 4. Mostly local stuff. Few bottled beers too. Boring.“

“Not sure if that's the one I visited 'cause there are more than 1 Alynas bars in Klaipeda. They all look the same. Core range of macros and then couple guest taps to attract you and me.“

“It was kind of closed for few days, but at the end of my stay in this city, on last walk, it was just open! No times on doors or googlemaps were true. Student type of place. Kind of loud and noisy and full of annoying teenagers. Smallest portion served 0,5l. Cheap. Smelt of vomit.“

“Bottle shop shares the same building and partially even entrances with Svyturys brewery. Good selection of beers here. You can find local craft and macros, but also international stuff. Variety of breweries is limited. They also do sell growlers. Not the brightest staff.“

“Sign says "Švyturys brewery". Large Scandinavian type of "taproom/brewery" place. Only thing all what's coming from those taps is bland and macro. Anything what can even moderately called "interesting" is in bottles if you are lucky. Aroma of food tasty, but we didn't eat here. Meh place.“

“Place in the center of Klaipeda. Typical Irish pub you can find in every touristy city. Managed to find couple ticks here, but mainly macros sold. Nice and clean toilet thou.“

“So, the name is confusing here. The thing is, on this premice "Švyturio alaus darykla" used to be, but a few years ago a joint investment from Brooklyn brewery and Carlsberg group (it owned "Švyturys") gave a way for a new brewery and new building to be built infront of the old one. It's callled "Švyturys brewery". The old building still stands, but all of the equipment was sold, so it's a ghost building now. Going back to this projecto of "Švyturys brewery" - it's 3rd of 4th joint venture of Brooklyn-Carlsberg on european soil and the idea, that this facility will go for something crafty - not independed per se, but still brewing something more interesting than just german-czech influenced stuff and targeting to this more boutique segment. This line of beers like this is called "Raudonu plytu alus" - red brick beer. One beer from the old Švyturys portfolio is also brewed on this premice - Švyturio Baltas, a traditional german hefeweizen. Ofcourse, the guys wanted to have a brewery tap room too - so there is one in this new building too, going under the name of "Švyturys Bhouse" - they have live music, food and snacks and ofcourse all the taplist is occupied by theirs production. Ambiance is industrial-loft style, with damn high ceilings - international crowd won't be surprised - feels like new york, anything - but we don't have to much of interiors like this in Lithuania. Been there only once on special closed event, so quite hard to tell how is it on daily basis, still worth a visit, even if owned by big boys.“

“The best beer place in Klaipeda. That's a fact. Been there for a few times, but the visit on may 1st was a bummer. Cozy, bustling during weekends, so much more quite on daily basis. Snacks are good, staff knows theirs stuff, music and vibe is awesome - local alternative scene being quite small, all the people gather there on weekends thou. Or it seemed to me like that, everybody greetin each other, and so on. Beer selection good too - managed to find a few vintage bootles of local made oudbruin from "Apynys" brewery which was long gone in the market.“

“Nice cellar bar with outside seating. Easily the best range of beers in town at very reasonable prices. As usual, no menu for the bottled beers. Service was typical Lithuanian grumpy.“

“Airy new beer hall within Svyturys brewery, mainly focusing on their "craft" brand, Raudonu Plytu, but also offering standard Svyturys beers along with other big name international beers (Carlsberg, Kronenbourg, Brooklyn). Friendly table service, tasting flight of 5 x 0.1 litre beers for 6 EUR not bad value but the selection was set by them. Beers reasonably priced, food seemed OK too. Good place for new ticks, but probably only the first time you go.“

“Nice basement bar, great place to escape from the recent hot weather here in Klaipeda. Dundulis beers on tap plus a few other Lithuanian micros in bottles, also spotted Thornbridge AM:PM, which took me back to my days in the Stags Head in Sheffield. Staff were helpful enough if not too talkative. Prices excellent, around 3EUR or less for 0.5 litre draught beers.“

“A decent place in Klaipeda, its a place that wants to be an irish pub and has the usual things like guinnes, some Lithuanian beers. Service was friendly, though the level of English was sometimes lacking but enough to be able to order a beer. Prices are ok.“

“Draught beer and bottle shop. With majors from biggest commercial brewery Svyturys on tap and pretty good selection in bottles from Mikkeller and other good importers. Although too much crap in whole selection.“

“Just another take-away draught beer shop of Alynas chain. Average selection with one or two better LT beers and major imports. Beer in PET bottle doesn’t make much honor.“

“Some good Lithuanian craft beer are available in this local where it is possible to find some industrial beer. Not a must, just only a tick @ Klaipeda.“

“whole place was bought and refurbished by the country-wide chain "Katpedele" (VICI Group). so now there’s Lithuanian traditional kitchen restaurant on the first floor and Beer Garden in the attic. trying to keep up with pub/craft beer business fashion they have dozens of taps on each floor although most of them are boring imports or Lithuanian big brews like Svyturys etc. But you might find Varniukai available. Also they’re still brewing locally this very sweet and fruity dark beer, called Memelio Juodasis (http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/memelis-juodasis-degintas-alus/158734/). All in all it is not a beer place - more a night club full of cocktails and douchebags.“

“A little hidden gem! It can be quite tricky to find and their schedule is a bit odd - I think they are closed on Mondays? They have a nice selection of Lithuanian craft and traditional on offer (almost all Dundulis beers) and a nice bottled selection if you’re not bothered by what’s on tap. The bottled selection has Danish, UK, Germany and Belgian beers among others. It can be a bit cold in the winter and there is no free wifi. The food is amazing and freshly cooked! You can sample any beer on tap before buying too.“

“Great place with a nice selection of continental beers as well as locals. Has big names from Denmark, USA, England, Scotland and Germany. This is the best beer store in town. Too many common beers to make this a good beer shop but it is by far the best bottle shop in town! Nice selection of glassware and beer snacks.“

“NIce place to drink too. To watch Lithuanian mathcaes and eat snnacks. Can get a little crowded specially when basketball is going on and the bar tenders get too much.“

“NICe place. It took me three visits to Kaipeda to notice it eventhough I was in the area many times beofre. The entrance is a little bit hidden and there is a patio in sight. The owner is a friendly guy who will talk to you about pretty much everything.“

“Veyr nice place in the heart of Klaipeda. Good ambiance and friendly staff, but as in all the baltic states, it take them ages to ask for your order. Very nice food and reasonable prices.“
