“Tonight was met by a very nice Barmaid who was very nice and helpful. They have 12 Beers on tap... But... NO NEIPAs!! And worse she says that some of these guys here just want to drink NEIPAs but it goes so fast they are forced to drink other stuff while waiting for next NEIPA. Their next NEIPA they are holding to release on their anniversary party! I tried to tell her 'YOU CAN HAVE MORE THAN ONE NEIPA ON TAP AT A TIME!' The best breweries like Tree House, Equailibrium, Other Half... etc have many NEIPAs! Skip brewing something like a amber to get something people want always on tap!“

“We had dinner here on a Saturday evening, and it seems like the favorite place of Lancaster locals. Very busy. The space is a really nice update in an old building. Modern but inviting. Good service. The tap list of 18 had some good stuff, and they served in proper glassware, too. The focus is on Ohio beer. The food is pretty good, too. I think this and Double Edge are probably the two places to go for beer in downtown Lancaster. We'll check out Double Edge next time but this was a good start.“

“Same location but newer building that I am told. In the middle of Ohio farm country among the tree filled rolling hills. In a way, it reminds me of a Northern Jester King. The beers are all plentiful but there was no price that I saw on the menu. I had 3 flights with 4 beers on each and then also paid for another 4 pints of beers. It ended up costing $82 which seemed a bit steep. Very nice and friendly staff. If I lived in the area, I would definitely visit, however, while it is a relaxing spot, it wouldn't be a must go if in the Columbus area. Good but not quite great.“

“Visited early on a Friday before they were open. Dedicated parking lot is right beside the building. It's located in downtown Lancaster, but sort of away from the main street of businesses. Easily walkable if you are in that area. The beer selection here is pretty good. Lots of diversity in styles, and the couple I tried were very nice. Service was very good as it was not really open yet. Prices were within expectation as well. Flights are available here as well as various other serving sizes. I look forward to visiting this place again in the near future, and am excited to see a brewery open up in downtown Lancaster.“

“Interesting the extremes in the ratings of this place. Plenty of free dedicated parking. This places is an old worn pick-up store that oddly has no public restroom, so people that give this place higher than 3 ambiance should reevaluate. The ladies that talked to each other almost the whole time I was there did not know about the beer selection, but did know the purchasing rules. One long aisle with beer on both sides, coolers on the far left wall, with a few others spots in this place. Descent selection of 750s and bombers, lots of four and six packs, and one end cap of singles from the four/six packs (which is hard to easily see what is there). Cannot bust up four/six packs, so that is a big negative. Pricing was quite good. I landed a few beers, so selection was better than I expected.“

“I love this place, I was told to come here for beer and being new to the area didn't know where to go. As others stated it looks like a regular convenience store from the outside, but once you get into their beer aisle you will be blown away by the selection. I have found many new beers here all of which I like. the owner Jay knows those beers like the back of his hand, and is very nice. The staff is very nice as well, and the deli selection is great, also have great tea there if you are interested. This is the only place in town I buy beer from.“

“Best place to but beer on this side of town. When you pull up it looks like a typical convenience store, however when you walk you are blown away by the amount of beer that they sell.Well organized and also sells singles. Dont forget to get your lottery. They have the most winners in Central Ohio and their deli is great as well. Did I mention the great customer service? Jay, the manager always greets you and makes sure you are finding what you are looking for. If they dont have it, Jay will try to get it for you if its available. While you are on your beer trek going from Brew Dog to Loose Rail to Rock Mill, Hit this place up. Its less than 15 minutes from Rock Mill“

“I’m a restaurant manager in Myrtle Beach and came in town for a reunion with my college roommates from O.U..Along are travels we stopped by Ameristop to pick up some beer.I have never been so impressed with the service and vast amount if craft beers! The manager- a bald gentleman-who introduced himself as the manager, but unfortunately i can’t remember his name- was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, should have is own microbrewery! I’ll definitely go there again when I’m back in Ohio!“

“Me and my Wife had a romanitc getaway for the weekend in Hocking Hills, We stopped at Ameristop to get some drinks on the way back to our cabin, only to be denied the sale because we are from out of state (Michigan, only one state up). The cashier refused to sell to us because "she can’t tell if our ID’s are fake because she doesn’t know what Michigan ID’s look like. Mind you, we are almost 30 years old. I rarely get carded anywhere. "Ameristop" is a very ironic name, given how f****** un-american it is to be denied the sale of alcoholic beverages at almost 30 years of age. Not to mention that we had just left the local pub for dinner, and the nice workers recommended ameristop for local craft beer selection. Awful experience, this place should be ashamed.“

“This convenience store is on the west side of Lancaster, and is quite a surprise. The beer selection is by far the best in town by a long shot. Great mix of styles, organized well, and easy to sort through. One section for mix six, and an Ohio only section as well. The beer guy, Jay, is incredibly kind, enthusiastic and helpful. He sends out a regular newsletter with updates on new products. Hard to beat the service here for sure! If you are in or around Lancaster, this is worth the stop.“

“Rockmill is in my hometown, and is set apart by the gorgeous grounds and buildings that house the brewery. It’s the most unique brewery I’ve been to. Amazing wooden architecture with comfortable seating that is spread out on the inside into separate areas. The staff is always incredibly kind. The beer is decent, but not a stand-out. And they don’t offer food. Nonetheless, this place is worth a trip if you’re in the area for the experience it provides.“

“Stopped in on a Saturday mid afternoon. There is street parking available for free. When I walked in, I was one of just a few people here and just sat at the bar so I could see better what was on tap. There was a lot of other seating though, like their focus was more on being a restaurant, than being a beer bar. They had a lot of ohio brewed beers on tap and a few Rockmills. I had a pint of beer and the seven pepper burger with fries. The burger was good, but the fries were probably the best ones I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Pricing was good too. The bartender was good to talk to, and she seemed to know beer. All things considered, I would come back.“

“This place has the most choices of craft beer than most places you will go. And the owner is keeping his foot on the pedal and keeps trying to bring in more beers. If you request something he will try to get it for you. Email list for when new brews arrive and friendly place. Highly recommended in this area in a small town.“

“By far the best bottle shop in Lancaster. This place is a convenience store but several aisles and endcaps are devoted to craft beer. Only downsides are mix a six and limited bomber-sized offerings aren’t extensive. However: fair amount of craft refrigeration space (wayy more than the BMC offerings), tons of Ohio produced and Ohio distro goodies and great prices. . Most importantly: the friendliest and most attentive beer manager I’ve ever encountered. Very knowledgeable, will special order anything he can get and will take your recommendations on what to to stock. Was ecstatic to see the entire Reingheist line and limited Jackie O’s offerings. Great overall selection, and FANTASTIC representation of all Ohio breweries. GO HERE IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA“

“Located off the beaten path, Rockmill is a bit different than the breweries I’m used to visiting. There are a few separate buildings on the property, and the tasting room is in a roomy lodge-like structure with a mezzanine. The bar itself is cozy, and there are tables and chairs scattered throughout. The server was super friendly. There are only 3 taps, so most of the pours are from bottles themselves. Pours are reasonably priced, both as full or small sizes, but the bottles are pretty expensive. The beer is all excellent, though. Their standards were all available, along with a couple seasonals and a new release. I think they do some bread and cheese plates, but I never saw a menu for it. Overall, a really cool place. I’ll be back.“

“Rockmill Brewery is located on a picturesque farm on Lithopolis Road a couple miles off 33. Parking is available in front of a garage and apparently anywhere else you can find it.

The exterior of the tap room is covered with shady lush foliage, and has a patio outside as well as some other niche seating areas that offer views of the lake and surrounding scenery. Inside the farmhouse opens to a tasting room and bar, with multi level rooms devoted to seating, merch and a kitchen. There is a bar along the left with a couple taps behind it. Lots of rustic decor including horse-themed artwork.

Rockmill only has a couple beers on draught, including Petit Saison and Siason Noir on my visit. The rest of the Portfolio is available in bottles for on site consumption or to go. Flights of 4 are available as well.

Service at the bar on an early Saturday afternoon was good. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the beers and attentive throughout my visit.

I did not have food on my visit, but the menu of bread, cheese and charcuterie looked good.

Overall I am glad I finally made the drive to this brewery, they have good beers and the idyllic setting makes for a great experience.“

“Beautiful property, inside and out. Extremely kind and hospitable staff. Only have their own beers available, but it’s some of the best American made belgian brews I’ve ever had. Food served was delicious, high-end and gourmet. It’s a bit of a drive to get there from where I am, but Rockmill is definitely a very memorable experience. Very impressive all-around.“

“Amazing place about 30 minutes from downtown Columbus. Located in a farming area. Beautiful location, huge beautiful grounds. Tasting room Is in a house that feels like an Aspen ski house. Beautiful wood, great bar. Comfort at its extreme. Owner was as nice as possible, gave us a tour of brewery. Had the barrel aged tripel on tap, which was phenomenal. Also bought a bottle of a new 10% Saison. Beers were very good. Bought a bunch to go. A must stop if you’re in the area“

“Stopped in on a Friday afternoon, shortly after they opened at noon. The building looks like it shares a driveway with a house and could probably be mistaken for that if one didn’t know any better. My wife and I were the only people in the tasting room until we were about ready to leave. The person behind the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer she was serving. She was the mother of the brewer and said the brewery was a family operation. The ambiance of the building was awesome. It’s probably the coolest brewery I’ve ever visited. They do only carry their own product, but it is all very good. They have a couple floors of seating along with their bar and patio. If I lived in the area, this is one place I’d have to visit often. Such a relaxing environment. The only real downfall I can see with this place, is their bottle prices, but all things considered, they’re probably fair. If you go with the flight, you can’t go wrong at $10 for a sample of their five beers. The bread they brought out with their samples was delicious as well. I don’t think they have a restaurant side of things currently, but if they ever do, I would have high hopes.“

“A chain store that is trying. They have some micro brewing staples but do not go above and beyond. No one there has any clue what craft beer means but as the only real option in town I will take what I can get.“

“A small drive through beer place in my town that has added a few coolers of craft beer. The craft beer coolers are located immediately on your left as you drive in. What started as 1 has now expanded to 4 and the selection just keeps getting better. This is not a "barely" craft place that sells Lienenkugels and Sam Adams; I have seen the likes of Hopslam, Crooked Tree IPA, and Stone bombers here. In fact, while not saying a whole let, this place most likely has the best selection of the entire town, all stored cold. I can’t say much about service person’s knowledge; this is after all a beer drive through. The idea still seems to be to get in and get out fairly quickly. Last time I went in, they knew enough to point out the new fall seasonals, but I have never delved deeper. Value is good, I almost listed them as inexpensive vice "reasonable." I think the inherent price competition in drive-throughs may have something to do with that. All in all, not the best place I have ever been in. However, one of the nicest selections and most convenient in the beer desert of Lancaster. Check it out, support the locals.“

“A decent selection of beer, most of the time its the same old stuff you can find at any Kroger. They do get a very small selection of seasonals in and some of the new beers, but dont expect much. I hope they start getting more new and rare beers in their inventory.“
