24 /100 Ufulu Gardens Hotel (Bar) UFULU ROAD Hotel bar. Not sure why it is in here. The wifi is nice if you have a sky band card, but not a destination bar. Seats are logs so nothing comfortable to sit on. Menu lists the local brews and some South African imports but they may not all be in stock. Service is friendly. Food at the restaurant across the hall is only OK. The blue ginger Indian restaurant near city centre is amazing and has all the same beers. |
30 /100 Ufulu Gardens Hotel (Bar) UFULU ROAD The "Bow" bar within the Ufulu Gardens hotel is one of a few places to drink in Lilongwe with wifi. The bottle prices are not bad either. |
76 /100 Buchanan’s Grill & Restaurant (Restaurant) PRESIDENTIAL WAY, AREA 12, FOUR SEASONS LIFESTYLE CENTRE This is a very nice restaurant (with grill) situated just beside the city centre of Lilongwe in a lifestyle centre. It is very easy to be found, but almost everyone is driving with car anyway. I have been there for lunch and enjoyed it a lot. The patio is gorgeous, overlooking the river with lots of green around. The staff is very friendly and the menue the best what the town has to offer. Had a steak and enjoyed it big time. Beer selection is like low, but since Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, this won’t be a surprise. Great place anyway. Prices are for European terms very low ( a beer for around 0,80 €). |
