50 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Pretty large place with a bit generic and boring patio and typical euro pub/sports bar interior. We were the only guests in the early afternoon. They had 4 craft options and rest of the selection was macro. Band was practicing obnoxiously loud. Staff was polite, but I was under impression they don't know much about beer. Food prices seemed incredibly high, 25 euro for a burger seems very high for this kind of establishments. Anyway give this a pass and you won't miss anything. |
46 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR No beers of their own, and barman said he can't even remember a time when they brewed their own beer. However, this is a dusty system on the top level. For show I guess. Other than that it's a standard sports bar with shockingly outrageous prices. We were the only ones there on a Friday afternoon, and with good reason. Many other good restaurants and bars nearby at less than half the price. One beer and we moved on. |
100 /100 Bono Bar & Restaurant (Restaurant) 69 GLADSTONOS Great selection of craft beers, 5 taps (one craft). Huge selection of bottles and cans (200+) from the world and local. Also ciders and wines and food. |
78 /100 Kafeney (Bar) GENETHLIOU MITELĹA 34 For a city with no decent places of craft beer, this pub is quite surprising. There aren't many beers here, but one can find several good bottles, including lambics. It's nice to sit outside and drink, really good vibe. |
54 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Visited in Summer July 2017. Quite a spacious tourist trap, admittedly well designed to make the impression of a brewery. House Beer was still being served back then but it tasted like generic macrolager swill, possibly no different than e.g. Keo. Deliberate misdirections aside, it was enjoyable to sit there with my wife. Nice restaurant/bar though we didn't try the food. Very nice service. Not a beery place though. |
64 /100 Beer to Go (Beer Store) AGIOU ANDREOU 96 Overpriced but also the only beer bottle shop in the city, so still worth a visit in you're in town. |
54 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Nothing special and quite overpriced. Avoid. |
76 /100 Kafeney (Bar) GENETHLIOU MITELĹA 34 Kafeney is the first and only dedicated craft beer place in Limassol, so far. Its an old style "coffee house", which means not really a bar establishment, with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic owner. Very good selection on local and imported craft beer. Definitely the pace to go if you like craft beer, in Limassol. |
68 /100 Kafeney (Bar) GENETHLIOU MITELĹA 34 Visited twice (31/01/2019 & 01/02/2019. On first occasion there was live music so the bar was packed. Owner is experimenting with brewing his own beer and had a Saison (very good) on tap. We also had a bottle of Pivo from Nicosia. On the second occasion the bar was much quieter and his own beer was 'Lager Forgiveness' which he admitted needed more work. Worth a look in, and with Barabacoa almost next door this is definitely a good street to drink in! |
74 /100 Barbacoa (Bar) GENETHLIOU MITELLA 4 By far the best beer selection in Limassol. Ostensibly a 'smoke house' there is always one beer on tap (often Septem from Greece) and another 'back up' tap. Bottle and can selection constantly changing but on our visits (Jan 2019) Hop Thirsty, KCBC, Grimm, Prairie, Tempest and Iceworks were amongst the offerings. Run by two sisters from the US, knowledgeable about beer, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend |
26 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Visited 30/1/2019. Restaurant/bistro type place. No sign of house beer on either pumps or menu, and waitress didn't know what I was talking about so I guess it's defunct. There are better places to eat and drink in Limassol so no loss as far as I'm concerned |
54 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Visited whilst staying in Limassol for a few days. Located close to Limassol Castle and just away from the main route up from the roundabout. Visited early evening, place was very quiet on arrival despite all the places we’d walked passed to reach it already being very busy. Had hoped to find a range of ’own beers’ there (especially as outside the sign says microbrewery) alas found they only brew one beer now which is the house lager (which was decent though and much better than the more widely available Cypriot lagers) - the barman explaining that unfortunately there was no take up for the other beers they had brewed before so they were discontinued. Other taps had mainly commercial brews with a few Belgian bottles available too. We ate there, menu looked good and food didn’t disappoint, service was good - lots of staff - place was certainly getting busier as we were leaving and atmosphere was building. So as a beer place it’s not great but at least the visit got me a new Cypriot brewery tick and the family some good food! |
100 /100 Old Da Vinci (Bar) 28, GENETHLIOU MITELLA STR Very nice place in Limassol-Cyprus historical center with good people near medieval castle at old port and very close to new Limassol Marina. |
40 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR An old house in a very nice location (just by the Limassol castle). Their beer selection is minimum to zero, with almost 4 out of 5 to be commercial lagers. The food was really nice and with reasonable prices. Very TGI Fridays alike...and for sure not a beer destination. |
80 /100 Hamlet Sports Pub (Bar) AGIOS TYCHONAS top place...awesometo watch live footy |
40 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Misleading name and categorization. You may think it is a brew pub looking at the copper tanks sitting on a shelf above the bar, but supposedly their "own" lager is brewed by someone else. Only the local AmBev distributer would be happy with the selection. |
42 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Decent place for food, but not for beer. Limited beer selection, and only one of their own beers available at a time, which isn’t all that great. |
42 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Set in a nice renovated old building the name of the place may be a bit misleading. The selection of beer is minimal and made up of most of the commercial beers you can find in Cyprus. Although they say they make their own beer, they only had a lager "made" by them. Somehow though was not convinced it was produced in house. The people there also don’t really seem as if they are there for the beer. The place reminds me of a a TGI fridays. If you are looking for Craft beers this is surely not the place to go. |
42 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Corporate place. Only one house beer, which they don’t make very often and therefore varies in quality (we went there about 3 times I think). Not a terribly interesting stop, but there’s only three indigenous beers in Cyprus and these guys make one of them. Parking isn’t that easy, but at night you can just find a spot on the sidewalk. Gotta do as the locals do. |
72 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Just south of the old castle in downtown Limassol. Went here around 2PM so really had the place to ourselves. Spectacular service from a young girl (I’m guessing later at night the place is a zoo given the other comments). Had a spectacular Lamb Kotsi and the wife had Chicken Souvlaki - both excellent. As others have said, they only had one of their own beers available but had a decent (for Cyprus) selection of guest beers. I guess the secret is to go early and on a weekday. FYI, there is a decent parking area just east of the roundabout on the south side of the main street (because parking west of the roundabout sucks). |
40 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Thick stone-walled, high ceilinged, impersonal-feeling establishment in a good location near the medieval castle. At lunch crowd was half business set and half tourists. Few came for the beer, though, I think we were the only ones drinking it. Lousy service. Overpriced food looked lame but was no where else around to eat. Ordered the special haloumi salad, which was actually very nice and huge. Surprisingly, the house lager was quite drinkable and ordered a second one. It seems they only put one of the house beers on at a time. |
42 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Been there in October 08. Sleek interior design but looks like a lot of other american style places all over the place,
nice to sit outside at night under the castle. the food selection is very big and eclectic american. Some of the selctions try to incorporate beer in the marinade or sauce but the results are not spectacular.
none of there brews where available, which was a huge dissapointment, not sure you can call yourself a brewpub with no brews. glad to here they have resumed brewing since that time. The other beer selections are pretty standard and boring. Overall a place with a nice ambiance though a little pricey, hope to try their brews in the future. |
52 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Nice looking brewery restaurnt in the heart of Limassol. Superb but pricey food and quick service. The good news is that they brew their own beer here, the bad news is that only one beer at the tinme is available. I had their Buster Ale, which was a fruity somewhat yeasty rendition of a pale ale. |
44 /100 24, VASILISSIS STR Well, it’s a brewpub. Nice American style interior, ouside seating with a view of the castle. They have only one of their own beers on at a time, which ment I spent most of the day going there for a pint of lager! Excellent food, though, I had a salad that could have fed a whole family. They have other beers, domestic and imported, available, too. |
