58 /100 Aune Valley Farm Shop (Grocery Store) RAKE FARM On the road into Loddiswell from the South-East, up a hill off the road before you get to it. The small deli style store is in a large hut with a cafe taking up a larger area at one side. All the bottles are to the left of the entrance after you enter and although not extensive has a decent enough selection of local beers and ciders to make it a worthwhile look at least. They had couple of canned local lagers from a new Devon brewer too on my visit. |
60 /100 Aune Valley Farm Shop (Grocery Store) RAKE FARM Visited on Friday morning, 29/04/16.
The farm shop is located on the A379 approximately two thirds of the way between Kingsbridge and the A38.
Offering typical farm shop fayre they also have an in house butchers, meat being their primary product and an on site cafe. In respect to beer they sell a number of local and south west products including Cider from Hunts, Ashridge, Heron Valley and a few others and beers from Hunters, South Hams, Quercus, Teignworthy and Skinners to name a few. The shop was doing a good trade for 10.15am and the service was prompt and cheery. Not a go to destination but if passing by on the A379 worth pulling in to grab a few potential ticks. |
