“You can tick many boxes here. It's located in the farmer's market, so you can shop for groceries. It's across the street from the local airport so you can watch tiny Cessnas and the occasional Airbus take off and land. You can have lunch, either a panino from the brewery or something from the food court of the market (Thai, tacos, sushi, etc). You can get a tan or skin cancer on the beautiful brewery patio. And of course you can drink beer. The house beers are tasty and there are six on tap plus six guests from around Quebec. Service is friendly and efficient in the extreme, and my energetic server knew the bers well and have very good recommendations. Places like this make daytime drinking extra special.“

“Small beer corner here with mostly macro beers. Handful of larger craft breweries represented alongside some faux crafty choices. Not worth it if you're looking for beer.“

“Located in the Longueuil public market, close to St Hubert Airport, this one reminds me of the Heart and Thistle in Halifax open concept in the mall. Only one of their beers so far, brewed at Loup Rouge. 3$ per sample, pricey. Currently, mainly guest taps from outside of the Montreal area. Good service Limited food menu, wings and charcuterie. Loads of parking.“

“Large selection, but too often the great beer are hidden and available only to the best customers. It’s not a bad thing but you need to buy a lot and regularly to have access to those. Often when you reserve some incoming beer they’re not telling you about the arrival and they are sold to others.“

“Biggest selection on the southshore of Montreal a bit big bigger than their dix30 location. They have some glasses from time to time. Like any SAQ they offer more wine and spirit than beer. One big advantage is that is right beside Flaveur d’ici my favourite beer store.“

“Ok ambiance. Been there a few times including once in the basement. Basement is quiet and private as if you’re in own basement. Service can be a little slow when you’re in the basement otherwise it’s fine. Selection is huge. Almost only Belgian beers, as expected. Price list is way too high IMO but since some of the stuff there can’t be bought elsewhere or only by private import, I guess it’s ok. Overall is a good place with good food.“

“Great place if you are in Longueuil area. The place changed a bit recently and unfortunately the selection is a bit lower than before but if you’re looking for microbreweries’ beer from Quebec...they sort it by region. Also, great food to buy there which probably make the notoriety of this "Provençal" place“

“As said before, great Belgian selection with a few local offs. I found a few I’ve never had or heard of. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was better than expected, but definitely not Haute Cuisine. I was there with a huge Canadien crowd so I felt right at home.“

“Reviewed on September 12, 2011. My girfriend wanted to eat here for her birthday dinner, so we arrived at 7:00 without a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant is located in a rustic old house which gives it a warmth that lasted until we met our waiter. Stephane took our order and seemed put-out that my girlfriend opted for the Samichlaus. Maybe he thought that a 14% ABV was unladylike? Whatever the reason, for the rest of the evening Stephane gave her the passive-aggressive treatment, practically throwing her entree and main dish in front of her without making eye contact or otherwise acknowledging her presence. He made a point of being friendly to me, as if to underscore his contempt for her. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. The food is of average bistro quality and the beers are very expensive, so all this place really has going for it is the ambience. Suffice it to say that Stephane’s behaviour ruined the latter. We won’t be back. “

“For a beer depanneur, I was very impressed with the Quebec microbrewery selection. Lots of glassware but all very dusty. For single bottle, I felt they were way overpriced. They had beers from "À l’abri de la tempête" for $6/bottle (330mls) ...! I still don’t know what impressed me the most: the fact that they had beers from Îles de la Madeleine OR that they were that expensive.“

“Nice place, great selection of beer but I saw nothing there that they don’t have some place else. Their glassware is pretty amazing though. It has to be the biggest selection I ever saw. Service was ok, the guy there seemed to know some about beer. I did not really ask for help so I can’t comment a lot. I’m pretty sure that if I would have asked, they would have been really helpfull.“

“What a great little place. When my GPS started taking me through a section of houses and apartment I thought it was screwed up. But, sure enough, there is this little dep, right where it is supposed to be. Great selection, great glassware, and great service. The older gentleman working there was friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable. There were tonnes of Quebec micros there, in cases and singles, that I’m not familiar with, so I told him the styles I was looking for, and he pointed out several examples of each and explained their relative merits. Again, because a lot of these were new to me, I’m not sure how good the prices are. Seem comparable, though. Great place, and really not that far off of the highway. I’ll be back.“

“I took up Goldenrack’s recommendation on a quick pass through Montreal on my wy back from Vermont. This worked for me because I was in the South part of town. It would also work if I was downtown. The owner is very knowledgeable about beer and tries his best language wise. I particulalry liked that he brought me the beers I wanted that were not yet refrigerated, I find few stores willingto do that for so many singles. Very organized, neat store. Reasonable to find, but this suburb is big. As good a selection of Quebec that is second to none. Also a Ratbeerian works here.“

“Very unlikely location. From the ouside it looks like an old homestead converted into a restaurant. Pictures of the Grand Place in Brussels and glassware exposed here and there. Downstairs near the washrooms is a private room for receptions and whatnot, also full of interesting glassware. Décor has this weird, almost country-western woodsy feeling that’s a little off. Sat near the bar in the non-smoking section. It was late Saturday night. Typical Belgium cuisine, some cheap, like Carbonnade Flammande cooked in Chimay for only 10$, some more expensive, mussels 20-25$ for a kilo, but I guess we’re not in season. Food was great, fries excellent, my entrée of coquilles St-Jacques was nothing compared to the one I had at In t’spinnekopke in Brussels, but was good enough. A few taps, Interbrew and Belle Gueule on the domestic side, nice variety of bottled Belgians. Some hard to find stuff in these parts like Super des Fagnes and Bush, but no off-the-wall brews for freaks like me. I was in the mood for a lambic but they had nothing other than St-Louis Pêche or some other sugary alternative. The waiter knew his stuff really well, and we even talked homebrew for a while. Beer prices are pretty steep, but I don’t think they are gouging the customers, I know how much their Beer costs them and I think the cut they take is reasonable. Recommended.“

Staff was friendly and knew their stuff somewhat, I heard that the owner, Jean-Marie, is a real nice guy. Cool glassware, but look out for ones with the pink dots, they are not for sale. “I went by recently, and not much seems to have changed, in fact, the Beers I’ve seen looked pretty fresh, all the Unibroues I saw were dated 2004, he has a ton of stock and is selling bombers 3 for 12$, 3 Edition 2004 for 13$, not bad. Service was a big fat zero, the guy behing the cash was clueless. Nice selection of glassware. Not many new arrivals, so maybe he stopped buying and is looking to unload some inventory.“

“Typical depanneur-like look hides the fact that this is one of the better places in the city to purchase beer. They generally have all beers that are available in the city (with the exception of those that are only available at the SAQ) and most all are available in singles. Decent selection of glassware also. Service is friendly and helpful and some of the staff know a thing or two about beer and ratebeer.“
