78 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST A fine little package store. Vermont has quite the brewing industry, and this store reflects that by having a very good selection of craft beer. Noticed that they also sold growlers from some of the local breweries. |
80 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST CLean little bottle store, with a deceptively strong beer selection. Firestone bottles that were long sold out (and cheaper than) in Waterbury, Upper Pass IPA that were sold out - well, everywhere else. Store is laid out well, staff knows their stuff. Imports were reasonably priced. Would love to see some more local fills added to the growler selection. |
72 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST This clean little store has some pretty good service, pretty much everyone who works here wants to be there. Their growler fills are normally Vermont breweries. Good selection of homebrew supplies. Pretty clean place with a huge selection of bottles that don’t look like they’ve been sitting there forever. |
74 /100 The Wine & Cheese Depot (Beer Store) 46 DEPOT STREET I realize with adding this place on ratebeer is that is quite close to Brewfest, and even though they have a small section of beer, they are willing to get whatever you want from all around Vermont. The fact that they do get S.O.S. and Heady and with their exceptionally friendly service, give them a chance if you’re in the area. Place is very clean too. The "8" in the food is for the cheese that they have, yeah, quite good. |
82 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST I stumbled upon this place as I was driving home from VT; I’m glad I stopped. Great selection of beers, lots of local stuff, good import range. They also have a growler station and lots of homebrew supplies. Good service, good prices. There’s a toilet, too, which I like. Very well laid out store. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing by on 103. |
84 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST Ludlow is not a very big town and to find a beverage store with this kind of selection in a town that size is quite a delight. They have hundreds of labels with a cooler along the back wall across from a long shelf of crafts and imported beers. They specialize in local and regional brews as well as Belgian imports. I saw Rock Art, Mystic, Switchback, McNeill’s, Berkshire, and Foley Brothers. Most of the Belgian Abbey ales that everyone likes can be found there. Mixed 6-packs have to be selected from a special shelf though but you do get a discount for a mixed 6-pack. Growler fills can be obtained too and the selection varies each week. They also have cheese and wine. It is worth a look-see. |
76 /100 The Downtown Grocery (Restaurant) 40 SOUTH DEPOT STREET Great food, good service, friendly management. |
68 /100 Brewfest Beverage Co. (Beer Store) 199 MAIN ST Excellent selection of local, national and international beers that are fairly priced. |
