“Visited August 2021. Very nice old pub, amazing copper ambience (all this nice brewery technology...), good service, only two home beers on tap, this time great weizen and nice lager. Love this view to the waterfront.“

“Rather traditional pub with only two beers on tap. They were okay but nothing remarkable“

“Busy place on the river and it seemed we were lucky to get in on a Thursday evening in early May. The friendly host gave us free beer while we waited for a table. Beer selection is on the whole limited with two open taps, one a standard Zwickl style offering and the other a seasonal. Both were decent but forgettable. The food was similar, although the sausages were quite good. If you only have a night in Lucerne and want Swiss food and Swiss beer, go two doors down the road to Bierliebe for the latter and to Wirtshaus Taube for the former.“

“On the river, two doors down from the Rathaus Brauerei. 12 taps, with 11 open at the time of our visit, a Friday in early May. All Swiss beers and of mixed quality, mostly decent but with a couple of duds sprinkled in and nothing above average. Flights of 4 with .1 pours available. Some simple food served, but we weren’t eating. Friendly staff. The best beer stop in Luzerne right now, but nothing special in the greater scheme of things.“

“Paid 2nd visit to the place in September 2021. Small but serving only Swiss brews, nice. Had a few, like 3 years ago, and a chat with the owner. He presented me a special BA, which I purchased to drink later. Serving 12 taps, and more in bottles. Great addition to Luzern.“

“A somewhat smaller place within the train station, at the bottom level. Filled with various beers from all around the world, some things in the fridge as well. Prices are higher than in supermarkets and other beer shops (the ones I visited in Switzerland). Nothing to go out of the way for, but damn good to stock up if just passing by.“

“Not sure how to call the concept... Farm located on a small hill in the city in the shadows of the impressive old city wall of Luzern. Different kind of animals kept directly in the patio or on meadows around the farm. Cold plates are available along with four of their beers from tap. The vegetarian spreads with the homemade bread we had were great while the beers were mediocre. Nice place to sit outside in the sun off the touristy places in the city with a farmyardy vibe. Definitely not a typical beer place but worth visiting if you are around.“

“Brewery and restaurant in an old medieval building just in the heart of Luzern at the promenade next to the famous bridge and tower. Classic interior with copper brew kettles and tanks and place outside in an arcade sidewalk and directly at the waterfront. Touristy but with a nice flair. Only two beers from tap and classic German/Bavarian beer food with a Swiss twist - not overly exciting but fulfilling the expectations. Fast and attentive service. Nothing I would seek out for beer but a nice place to visit when you are in Luzern.“

“Well, actually it's located at a different place (Burgenstrasse 14, near to the railway station) ; a small brewery with their own beers and an extremely friendly brewer; he showed everything :) Prices are extremely low not only compared to other Swiss places but in general! Definitely worth visiting!“

“Pretty grouchy about this one, nice location in the old town of Luzern but that's about it for me. At the time of our visit the tap selection was very standard Swiss beers, nothing standing out from what you would find in any train station bottle shop. Our server didn't know what was on tap and made us go to the bar to look at the menu ourservels. Took an inordinately long time to get served our flight despite there being almost no other customers. From other reviews this might have been a fluke and the online tap list certainly looks more diverse than when we were there. I'll go back to double check but the first visit was disappointing.“

“The place rocks. It’s right on the river front overlooking the old bridge. The atmosphere and service are top notch. 12 taps, all are small Swiss craft breweries. The food was tasty. I can’t say enough good things about Vincent and the staff. They were amazing hosts.“

“Regular bottleshop you'll find in several Swiss train stations. The selection is good for Swiss beers and still quite decent for international beers. The prices are not cheap, but okay for Switzerland. This is nothig special, but always a good place to get a (few) beer(s) for the road.“

“Visited on a Wednesday night. Located next to Rathaus Brauerei on the quai. Small patio at the waterside, nice view of the city center. Place is modern, stylish, plenty of tables to sit, some stools at the bar. 12 taps and a selection of bottles as well. Flights of 4 x 0.1L tap beers for 12 Swiss Franc, good for ticking. Friendly young staff. Pricewise, Switzerland is quite expensive so I thought this was actually decently priced, around 4.50 - 5.50 for 0.2 or 0.25L drafts. Nice addition to Luzern, will definitely return when I need to be back in town.“

“Brewpub & Restaurante situado en el centro de Lucerna junto al famoso puente de madera. El sitio es bonito, antiguo ayuntamiento de la ciudad. La comida es típica de Suiza, sin grandes pretensiones. Cervezas solamente sirven un par o tres de estilos, producción propia con posibilidad de realizar taje away. Precios altos acorde con el país.“

“Of course very similar to the other Drinks of The World branches, but went to get some beers from Luzern and the surrounding area that they don't have in the other branches. Prices decent for Switzerland, selection is good for Swiss beers and some good country ticks.“

“Visited on a Thursday afternoon, just before taking the train back to Zürich airport, to get a few ticks for on the train. Located inside the train station, just head downstairs as soon as you enter the station. Small liquor store with a great selection of Swiss beers and lots of foreign stuff as well. Funny to see the American beers (e.g. DuClaw) were cheaper than the Swiss craft stuff. Friendly service, decent prices for Swiss standards.“

“Visited on a Wednesday evening. Located in the center of Luzern, near the wooden bridge. Small patio in front of the entrance. Small bar area upon entering, showing some copper kettles. To the left is the dining area, looked nice. They unfortunately only had 1 beer on, which was a bummer, as they had 3 on the night before. Naturtrüb was not great tbh. OK for the tick, but best just save your money and head to a bottle shop. Beer-wise Luzern is quite poor. Didn't eat here, menu looked fine.“

“Living in Luzern, I'm a regular client in this store. In terms of selection, I know maybe one other place where you can buy that many different beers, but there the prices are higher and the stuff is not friendly. And whats more, it's not even in Luzern :-) So if you are a beer-lover (or a wine lover!) stranded in Luzern, Drinks of The World is simply the place to go! It's really easy to find.“

“I was happy to discover this Bio-Market not so far away of the train station. For a Beer hunter, it is not a beer shop but you have some breweries from Zug, Sursee and Luzern. The prices are correct and better of drink of the world. The grocery is nice and not so crowded, regular service. It is a place to go one time to pick up these breweries.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Located underground in the train station. Pretty large selection. They had quite a few Swiss beers and other European beers. Even some American stuff was available. I was just looking for Zwickels, so I bought the one that I found and left. It was a few Francs, so better than I would have found in a restaurant, but still high.“

“Visited on a Friday evening for dinner. We had reservations, but for sitting inside I’m not certain we needed it. Most people were sitting outside. Service was decent, but they were a bit slow, even by Euro standards. They messed up my beer order once, but the beers were all good, so that part didn’t bother me all that much. Food was good. My wife’s cheese pie was the best thing we had for food, and was the cheapest thing on the menu. I had a sausage dinner, and it was good. Everything here is outrageously expensive, but then again it is in Switzerland. Everything in Switzerland costs 2-3 times as much as it would in the US. This is a decent brewery in a cool location, just wish it had a little better pricing. Probably the best beer place in Lucerne.“

“Located in the basement area of the station, with an impressive selection. A good range of Swiss beers of course, plus a few from more obscure countries (Kosovo for example). Difficult to navigate the store due to the crush of people and luggage, so try to find a quiet time if you want to study the stock in detail. It’s also worth noting that a useful booklet is available showing what is available at each of their stores.“

“Huge selection on many wooden shelves, carefully displayed, flags show nationality, very good order. Possible pay by card. Shop is underground Bahnhof (railway/train station) among other shops. Deutsch/Francaise webshop, though the company’s name is in english - funny. .... Currently (1/2016) there are 2 positions for the same bottle shop on Ratebeer, should be merged into 1. .... “Decent brewpub located right along the river. Very easy to find. There is a small bar area right when you walk un but there is plenty of seating in the side rooms. The beer list is limited but the house beer we had a decent. The food was good and the service was friendly and fast. Prices are okay for Switzerland. I would come here again.“

“The choice is out of this world - for this type of shop. Of course, the setting makes the ’Ambiance’ difficult, but having raided this place on a Sunday afternoon, who am I to complain? Leaving Luzern with a thiirst? Go by the trainstation...“

“Great picturesque location by the water. Has a nice traditional ambience that fits in with the touristy local. There are a couple of house beers on tap along with numerous bottles to select from. The biggest drawback is it is rather pricy. The beers were fairly average, but the scenery is worth the visit.“
