“Right off of 41. Even that, it's a bit hard to find. Beer was solid. I'd tried some of their beers before but never been to the source. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pizza was solid. IPA was solid, not great. Worth stopping by if in the area.“

“Food is nasty. Been three times in the past year. First time was excellent food, beer and service. The last two times the food was nasty and not fit for my dog. Beer was a bit warmer than I like, but the staff’s attitude is bad.“

“Average place with average beer and food. I ordered a sampler that took almost a half hour to arrive. The waitress brought it as my food was being served. The food was OK, nothing out of the ordinary. The beers were good with a few very nice. The server seemed competent but overwhelmed.“

“Have visited here several times while on business trips. Had an excellent barleywine in March 2010. $3.50 a 16 oz glass, and $10 +deposit for the growler. Much better value than most brewpubs. Have enjoyed the Oatmeal Stout on past trips. Excellent food and good service, too. The other rating that mentioned a smoking section is no longer accurate... all bars in Wisconsin have been non-smoking since July 2010.“

“$9 for 12 samples. We did not see a non-smoking area, so pick your seat based on the neighbors. Clearly an area pizza favorite. Staff was somewhat knowledgeable. Located in parking lot near a home supply store or something like that.“

“Located near a railroad that is still running. Large open bar area with lots of room for seating and tv’s on the walls. There is also a dining room in the back. 10+ beers on tap that included some intresting selctions such as a blueberry ale, bock and seasonal ’Zummertime’. All 4 beers I tried were pretty good with the Scottish Ale being my favorite. Huge food menu selection. Had a great appetizer but my prime rib sandwich, which is supposed to be one of the house specialties, was very fatty, but everyone else’s food looked pretty good. Service was very good considering we stopped in on a holiday. Worth stopping in if your anywhere in the area.“

“Great ambiance, railroad theme throughout. I was told that some of the lumber/flooring used is from the old Menominee Brewery across the river, closed in the ’60s. Food service was slow, but server apologettically explained that server trainees were requiring much attention from the veteran servers. I was not in any hurry, enjoying the ambiance and company present. 3 oz. samples are available 4 at a time. $3.50 pints are very reasonable for the quality. Bottles no longer available, but 1/2 gallon growlers are. Intricate bar definitely has a long history. Highly recommended!“

“I went to see a band play here not too long ago, and of course had to sample the many beers they had. I can honestly say the beer was average, and the establishment itself is really nice inside. however, the prices for bottled six-packs were a little steep, i think like around $10. But the service was nice, and they had quite a large variety of beer to choose from.“

“Visited recently while headed up through the UP. The building really is right on the highway and it is obvious they spent some money making the place look like a nice sportsbar. The tap selection was varied with some decent beer. A nice bottle selection with some New Glarus and Bell’s brews. I ordered some lunch and it took a long time to arrive, and the food was no better for the wait. I might stop in again for a pint, but not much more.“

“I visited this place on a work-related overnight stay, so I was unable to enjoy myself as much as I would have liked. Upon entry, we found ourselves in a smoke-filled bar. When we found the non-smoking section, it turned out to be more like a Perkins or a generic family-style restaurant you see peppered all along Wisconsin’s small town Main Streets. The beer prices were very reasonable ($2.00 for a 10 oz glass or $3.25 for a 16 oz pint). I sampled the Pike River IPA and the Scottish Ale. Both were quite good, the Scottish especially so. My coworkers sampled the light beer, the Honey Weiss, and the Silver Cream. They seemed pleased with all three. All told, the brewpub had roughly 10-12 on tap and available during our visit. The food was also very good, nicely priced, and arrived in good time. The next time I find myself in Marinette, I hope to revisit the Rail House.“

“It is a rare thing to go to a brewpub that has so many beers that I truly enjoyed. Their best work was at both ends of the sprectum. The light Silver Cream and Blueberry Draft were excellent as were the Stout and Scottish Ale. Everything else in the middle I found just that, in the middle, but still quite palatable. I hope your experience will be as good as mine. I loved everything about my stop, starting with the antique back bar, Heather & Hiedi serving up my hospitality, the Pizza was "The Best" and I noticed a patio that is not mentioned on the site here. The free beer when the train goes by is pretty cool.“
