“Last stop before home. Located out near the airport, this little place was buzzing on a Monday night. Bluegrass jam was going on in the brewhouse. Solid lineup of beers, friendly vibe. Free popcorn“

“Heading home, last stop, McCall. Tucked away in the back corner of a shopping center, easy to miss. Dark, lots of wood. Mostly flagships on tap, 2 seasonals. Good service. Menu available, but we did not eat.“

“Heading back to Boise after our North Idaho trip, we had time to hit McCall. First stop was here. Lovely location, decent beer, terrible service.“

“Very clearly the "newest" brewery of the 3 in McCall. This place has more of the modern "tasting-room" atmosphere compared to Salmon River and McCall Brewing. Expect friendly service, friendly locals, and cheap beer (or at least it seems cheap if you're from out of town). Nothing earth shattering, but a solid line-up of drinkable beers.“

“We were the first in the doors for dinner mid-week, and had a great experience here. Not a huge draft list by any means, but a solid selection of taps worth trying. Great sushi (especially for Idaho, no offense), friendly service (very accommodating to our hurricane of a child), and just an overall great atmosphere. We will absolutely be stopping back in our future visits up here.“

“Just stopped in for beers -- didn't eat. This is exactly what you picture if you think of a brewpub that opened 15 years ago and probably hasn't updated since. The interior is a bit dark and dreary, I guess there is a patio upstairs but I didn't venture up there, since the main bar is downstairs. All of the beer menus seemed to have different lists... There were two on the walls, a paper menu, and a specialty beer advertised on a chalkboard. Kind of hard to tell exactly what was available. The beers are fine, nothing horrible, but nothing really great either. Anyway, not a bad place, all things considered. If you find yourself in McCall, I'd consider this the 3rd option of the 3 breweries in town, but still worth stopping in.“

“This kind of toes the line between and old-school brewpub and a newer school brewery hang-out. They have a full kitchen, but a lot of the seating seems to be for folks that are just drinking. There is some outdoor porch seating, which is pretty great, and some high-top seating in the bar area as well. The beers are generally pretty good, and the apps we had were decent as well. If you're up here in McCall, it's obviously a must visit, since there are maybe 3-4 places in town worth going to. So yeah, I don't think I can add anything that hasn't already been covered in a prior review. If you have to pick between here and McCall brewing, I'd say this place has better beer and better atmosphere.“

“Since I originally wrote this Salmon River has relocated and is now a very nice place in the heart of town overlooking the lake. Food is excellent and beers are better than every. Great place. Original rating below from April 9, 2009. I stopped in just a couple weeks after they opened in March 2009. This place was jammed and people were having a wonderful time. I overhead people talking about the great sushi. I had three of the beers, They were the Sweep Boat Stout, PFD Pale Ale, and Salmon River Quiver IPA. The Udaho Gold was empty, and they said they would have it back on tap in an hour or so. I loved the Pale Ale and purchased a growler to take home. This place is off to a rousing start. If you are in McCall you should give this place a try“

“This place was has really upped its game since Salmon River Brewing moved in up the street. The food here has gotten pretty good and they have also upgraded the beers. Service has improved. As a result the place has gotten much more popular. “

“Been to Forester’s Club a couple of times, most recently with BuchDich and Wildaho while passing through to Lewiston. Pretty relaxed place, we had some pitchers of Alaskan Baltic Porter on draft and rocked the Wii golf. I had a little better rating at one time, but it seems to have been deleted…“

“Stopped in for a quick sampler on my way through McCall. I love that this is just off the bypass from downtown… easy to get in and out. A small tasting room with a few high tops and bar stools, some seating outside. No food, but they did offer popcorn. A nice place, but small.“

“Always a good place to stop in for a beer. They always have the normal line up along with a couple new brews from time to time.I think this was one of the first times I have been in and it was not just packed. It made it much easier to get our beers.“

“Stopped in for a quick taste of the beer. This was the first time I have been in. It is a nice little place. The propeller fan was really cool. The beer on the other hand not so great. I will stop in next time I am in town and hope they keep working on the beer.“

“Great place, but we had an adventure here. We’d ordered some food and had the first part delivered to us on the outside deck when a dust devil started up in the parking lot. Our family watched transfixed while it circles around and then started moving towards us. Soon we were in the middle of a sand storm with dirt being blown all around. I’d covered my beers, but the food was covered by grit and dirt. The wait staff had no clue what to do, but the hostess ran out and grabbed all of the plates to redo them. (who wants to eat dirty/griitty sushi.) Big props to the hostess. The food was great and reasonably priced. Good beer selection, but my only complaint was that the beer chalk board didn’t list the brewer. Instead you had "IPA", "Anniversary Ale", "Hefe". Looking at the tap handles helped, but with 3 IPA’s on rotation, who’s going to be able to pick from "IPA", "IPA", and "IPA" (It wasn’t quite that bad, but it’s close enough.). Again, great food, and the management knew how to take care of an unusual situation. Nice beer selection, and if I’m ever in McCall again, I’d definitely go back. (Much better than McCall Brewing Co) Good bottle selection, but I didn’t get any.“

“A half block off the main drag, this place is precisely what I imagined. With a cool mountain town menu of locally raised food and a rock solid lineup of good beer, it was exactly what we needed. The burgers took a while and may have been a hair overlooked, but we’re delicious. Of the three beers we tried, the ranged from average to exceptional (Buzz Buzz Porter). We enjoyed the outdoor seating area and friendly clientele, mostly local outdoorsy types with their kids happily engaged in the sand pit play area rather than staring at iPads. There was a little band playing some decent tunes, the air was fresh. Great venue for beer lovers. brewery #584.“

“Right on the main drag in beautiful McCall, this is a cozy little log cabin brewpub. The small Newhouse is right next to the small bar area and the brewer was hard at work. We didn’t try any food here. The two beers we had were kinda homebrewish, and clearly unfiltered, pun intended. The crowd seemed local/regular, and the staff was a bit aloof. Happy hour prices were nice ... $2 pints! Brewery #583.“

“Really downhome, hippy hangout of a brewpub. Outside patio area ROCKS even in the winter with 4’ of snow all around. Great place to ease the pains of snowboarding Brundage. Wonderful beers and plenty different ones. Can get quite busy on a friday/sat. night but rightfully so. People were having fun and tossing back the suds here. Megawatt heaters kept it warm outside and as it is dog friendly even my dogs had fun and stayed warm on a snowy Jan. night. Awesome snow castle out front def. a plus. Very fun place.“

“Great mountain town pub feel. Freindly folk with some fun thrown in. Not the brewpub for the hopheads, beers def. leaned to the maltier side of things. Brewery is right behind the bar so you can watch the works going on. Fun place, nice variety.“

“Came here later in the evening, on a quieter evening. Casual and friendly vibe is consistent with the local hangouts in McCall. Enjoyed the ’Big Crusty’ with a couple friends. Easily one of the better pizzas to be found in Idaho. Fun place!“

“Smaller pub that looks as if it were an old house turned cafe turned brewpub. Some of the woodwork is cool, along with the vintage outdoors and skiing items on display. Brewing equipment is viewable as you first enter. Enjoyable brews and the menu looked good (did not eat). Service was ok and I got to chat with one of the brewers.“

“Crust-O’s is better than the sum of its parts. Great live music, tasty beers on tap/btl always rotating through. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A pleasant, hippie vibe. Pizza is super tasty and well executed. Crispy crust and quality cheeses make for great pizza. A nice salad bar too.“

“What can I say? Jordan is an amazing chief and a better friend. Some of the best food to be had in the Mountain West. Great sushi, pho, soba, you get the idea. A nice beer selection, and plenty of sake. A must visit in Idaho. Plus it is run by a RBian! Oh, and the view of the lake is fantastic.“

“I have been here a couple of times now and I have to admit; it is amazing. Jen & Jordan have built themselves a great business. The beer selction is always great and constantly changing. The food? Great rolls and other items. The view from the deck would sell for a million dollars, literally. If I lived closer; it would be my weekend hangout. Great place.“

“This place is off the hook! The atmosphere is extremely well-done. It invites both locals and tourists. It is the only Sushi in McCall. No sushi bar has the beer tap as well as bottle selection that this place has. What makes this place is not that it has an innumerable amount of beer, but the quality of beer in a smaller venue. If you go to McCall, you must visit!“

“Kinda hard to find, but a treasure when you do. A hideaway for those who want to discover a relaxed paced and top quality sushi bar with the proper local flavor. Five PM crowd is a hoot. Lunch special is a joy. The view is worth a million of everything nice.“

“A sort of cool hippie vibe to this place, it seems more like a house party than a brewery. The best part was the amazing Sushi bar. The food was great. Had six beers on tap. A small place, with only OK beer.“

“A nice place in the sprawling metropolis of McCall. Had 7 beers on tap. They all had a sort of odd earthy flavor, but otherwise pretty decent. Good service. Reasonable pub grub. Lots of good tvs though to watch the game.“

“We drove through McCall on a marathon road trip (437 mile loop) to Hells Canyon from Boise. Didn’t know this place existed until we drove by at dinner time looking for a place to eat. Serendipity. Nice decor, friendly service. Beers were tasty, though I didn’t try a lot since I was driving and had two hours left in the trip - including that windy road down Payette Creek gorge. Anyway, everyone but me got the roast beer sandwich, and it was really nice. I decided on fish and chips and it was terrible. Just sopped in grease and the fish was subpar. Complained but no restitution was offered. Other than that, it was fine.“

“Right on the main drag in McCall, but it sits at a 90* angle and can be easy to miss if you’re headed north. Rustic interior in it’s true form. Very old school and doesn’t have the overdone attempt to make it rustic. The server was friendly and knew enough about the brews; he even stopped to chat after I finished the sampler to ask about my favorite. Food was good, but a bit pricey. A $10 burger is typical in a resort town. Overall it was a fun place to stop and I’ll make it a point to stop in next time I’m headed through town.“

“Made the trip 2 hours specifically to take my family here and get in several Local ratings. While the rustic but clean log-cabin typ decor was very nice and also comfortable. The "Help Wanted" sign out front should have warned me. We were seated right away, but after 22 min I had to go back up front and the same guy asked me "table for one?" When I explained no, we were still six and we havent had out order taken yet, he looked at me like he dodn’t know what my problem was. The food was good, but spendy for the portion size/ Thi sI expected however. The beers were al good I though, though their "lighter" lineup were all very similar. I wasn’t sure even if the server told me the wrong ones were which in the sampler. Made for a bit of a challenge. All were tasty, especially possibly the best Porter I have ever had. Unless that was the Brown Ale.“

“This place exceeded my expectations. It has a classic mountain feel with a largely pine interior with decos that fit mountain recreational sports. The brewing area is basically right next to the bar and has large windows so you can see what is going on in there. They had 8 beers on tap and were brewing a seasonal when I was there. The food was quite impressive. I reccomend the KO’d Burger! The beer is pretty good as well. Nothing bad, even their Mountain Light was better than most light beers. The sampler tray comes out on a mini surf board and is $8 for 8 four oz. samplers. It id definitely worth taking a detour off your trip to go here if you are in south western or central western Idaho.“

“Was there a long time ago when it first opened and it was pearched on the lake and it was a great place. The beer was awesome from what I remember. Stop by during winter fest and it is a blast. The lake at all times should not be missed.“

“Small brewpub right on the main drag of McCall, tucked into a small shopping village type thing so it’s easy to miss but the sign is very visable. Inside is all wooden interior, brewing equipment is easily viewable and there are games in the back. Very comfortable place, I was very relaxed while rating. Good food choices and nice selection of beers with light to strong, ales & lagers, seasonals, etc. Very friendly (and attractive) service. Most of their beers are good, some are a bit off but worth a visit if you’re here. The food is good, varied menu, reasonable prices.“
