“Talking about the old mill, not the brewery itself. Awesome crazy country campsite feel, so chill and relaxing. Awesome people, especially Nathalie. Pretty awesome, and great beers. Only open Sundays normally. Tours also possible it seems for groups.“

“Visited more times, for the first @ 1991. Very friendly people, taste with brewer (father of Nathalie) all beers available @ garden. Now last years family run place. Very nice patio in the back. Not all beers were available. But mostly are nice good beers.“

“Visited twice, once back in 2009 or something, and very recently with the Gentse Biervereniging on a brewery tour in Hainaut. Very friendly people, family run place, only occasionally open, it seems. Very nice patio in the back, cosy interior inside. Not all beers were available and some were clearly past date, which left a mixed feeling. Why sell us old crap, and wow, there’s clearly not a lot of people visiting then...“

“Not far from Blaugies and Au Baron and Theillier, the brickwork grounds of Abbaye des Rocs offers the beer tourist a small front parlor tasting room with roughly five bottles available for here or take-away, depending on seasonal stock. Upon hearing that we were foreign we were treated to a comprehensive tour of the brewing facilities and gifted a few bottles to taste later. The older couple running the show were warmhearted and friendly throughout, making an effort to answer our questions with the limited language overlap that we had. Though the beers are too sweet for my liking, these classics of Belgian brewing were fun to revisit.“

“This score may be biased because I love this beer and was excited to see where it’s made. We requested some beers not on the tasting menu, no problem. They put up with our horrible command of the French language, and even gave us a private tour of the brewery. Great place, excellent beers, and wonderful owners.“

“Beautiful setting in a large abbey-like hall. I visited out of season, so it wasn’t crowded, but I got the impression that the place could absorb busloads of people if it needed to. Food was very tasty and of course their beers are solid.“

“A great brewery to visit with excellent beers. Attached to their home, Jean-Pierre was kind enough to give us a private tour of the brewery. The brewery building is beautiful, made with bricks from the remains of the abbey that used stand nearby, it even has arched abbey-like windows. The tasting room, part of the house, is a warm living room complete with a fireplace and antique lantern collection. A must visit if you’re in Belgium!“
