72 /100 Boonie's On the Avenue (Bar) 214 IOWA AVE Standard sports bar. Decent selection of locals and national craft. Pretty good food. Good overall. |
86 /100 411 W MISSISSIPPI DRIVE Right off of Mississippi Drive in Muscatine. Inside is lots of wood paneling and an industrial feel. The beers I tried were all solid. First brewery in town I can remember, pretty good overall. |
70 /100 Buffalo Wild Wings - Muscatine (Restaurant) 2608 2ND AVE Sports bar atmosphere, well lit with a ton of sports on numerous TVs. A mix of families, young people, etc. Food was, a little hotter than expected with a garlic chicken flat-bread, probably more to do with a lot of people like food hotter than me these days. Decent place, until Contrary opens this is the place to go grab a good beer in town. |
78 /100 Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Muscatine (Grocery Store) 2400 SECOND AVE Pretty nice selection of beer. I scored a 6-pack of Expedition Stout and a bunch of singles from Founders, Bells and some local stuff. Great singles section, mix and match with varying prices, small bomber section, big walk-in cooler full of domestics. Lots of stuff not available in CO. Some of the best service I’ve ever received at a liquor/beer store. (Recently, they were pretty clueless, however) Very helpful, knowledgeable guy. They split up a few 6-packs so I could get singles. I stop in here every time I come home. |
74 /100 Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Muscatine (Grocery Store) 2400 SECOND AVE Location is within Hy Vee on the far right side of the store. Setup is similar to other Hy Vee stores in the area, with a walk-in cooler in the back and an open cooler along the side. Best place to buy beer in Muscatine, compares decently to the stores in the Quad Cities. |
