82 /100 Barnabeer (Bar) 39 RUE DE BRUXELLES Nice place downtown Namur. Large place with abouzt 40+ beers on tap and a decent selection of Belgian and International beers. Selection is ok, some standards, some local, some interesting ones. Staff is quite frindly ans has a good knowledge aput the beers. |
58 /100 Les Poules à lier (Bar) PLACE DU MARCHÉ AUX LÉGUMES, 15 Dont know who added it but its nothing special. Typical selection as many bars in Belgium. This is situated on a square with many other bars around. So this entry is good for knowing this area of bars. |
50 /100 Le Bouffon Du Roi (Bar) 60 RUE DE BRUXELLES Sports bar ... |
82 /100 Barnabeer (Bar) 39 RUE DE BRUXELLES Well another great bar for Namur... 22 taps on and 300 plus bottles... |
60 /100 Le Peanuts (Restaurant) RUE DE L'OUVRAGE 3 Visited on 25/08/2017 - Just drank something there by accident on wandering through the town. Din't ate. Mostly commercial beers but also serve two beers brewed for a local sort of which society. Not worth a detour, but when you're in the neighbourhood... |
74 /100 Brasserie de La Reine Blanche (Restaurant) CHÂTEAU DES COMTES, ROUTE MERVEILLEUSE, 50-52 Visited on 25/08/2017 for lunch. Big selection of du Bocq beers and some other too (brewed @ du Bocq for others??). Food was fine, nice place to sit,eat and enjoy a beer. a few meters further you have a very nice view over the town of Namur. Service wasn't really friendly. Hopefully a bad day? |
68 /100 Made in Namur (Restaurant) ROUTE MERVEILLEUSE 64 Visited on 25/08/2017. Situated next to the visitor centre of the Citadel de Namur. Local food and drinks and other stuff can be used there are taken home. Beers from the bigger local breweries but smaller ones as well. |
86 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 the best place in Namur |
60 /100 Le Bouffon Du Roi (Bar) 60 RUE DE BRUXELLES Visited in November 2014. |
68 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Not too far from the railway and just aside the cathedral. When I first went it was closed despite the scheduled listed on the door (the same that there’s here on RB). Went back after 5 p.m. and it was open. Small, but beautiful bar. Service was rather unfriendly... no clue about the beer knowledge of the staff. Selection isn’t really impressive, but it’s probably the most extensive in Namur. No tick, so I went for the Orval. There was also Boon Oude Gueuze on the menu (which is interesting for the area). Prices were ok/good. Decent local bar. |
66 /100 Le Bouffon Du Roi (Bar) 60 RUE DE BRUXELLES Visited on a Tuesday afternoon, it was half empty. Close to the railway station (5 minutes walk). Medium sized bar with a nice back garden. Staff isn’t proactive, but relatively friendly. Tap selection is bad. Bottle selection is ok... at least they have a good gueze in bottle (Oud Beersel) which isn’t easy to find in bars in this part of Belgium. Prices are ok. Average bar, but probably one of the best in Namur. |
66 /100 Le Bouffon Du Roi (Bar) 60 RUE DE BRUXELLES Nice bar with outdoor seating in the back garden. Decent selection of regular beers and a few not so common ones. Liked it more than other bars I visited in the area. |
74 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 My first experience of a bar in Belgium and oh how authentic it was.
Not a big bottle or tap list but one very high in quality with a lot of regional offerings too.
The bar is in traditional Belgian style with brewing paraphernalia slapped on the walls and a nice little outdoor seated area.
The service was shambolic at best but still very helpful.
If living in Namur I would certainly make this my local. |
70 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 Nice place. |
86 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 It’s a very nice and quiet place to enjoy your beer if you’re coming in this little town in the south of Belgium. |
88 /100 Chapître (Bar) PLACE DU CARILLON 1 Quietly one of the best little beer cafés in Belgium, tucked behind the church in an interesting town that deserves better beer spots. Chalkboard list of bottles has De Ranke, Senne, La Rulles, and a few real lambics, among others. Small and candlelit, with rustic Wallonian touches. In nice weather the tables go outside against the church’s wall, candles and all. Music sometimes, too. |
72 /100 Le Bouffon Du Roi (Bar) 60 RUE DE BRUXELLES Visited October 2011. Small bar with tables and some stools relatively close to the railway station. 50+ bottles, some taps. Dark and condensed inside, friendly staff. |
